after a while, my itunes gets really fuzzy and broken sounding and i have to stop the song or restart it so it plays clearer. i notice that it usually coincides with internet activity. could anyone offer insight as to the cause/ remedy for this problem?

mine does that too, but it seems more to coincide with processor activity... odd

this is a result of using bad software

the only thing bad about iTunes is its musical playing ability, I wouldnt use it at all if it werent for my iPod. My iTunes does the same damn thingjust use WinAmp to play your music instead

thats great that the only thing bad about a music player is its music playing ability.but its not unexpected. Quicktime has always been a piece of shit and itunes is more of the same.Unfortunately it is required to transfer shit to an ipod, and thats one of the reasons i'll never own one.

yea, i never used itunes before i got my iPodthat is the only down side to it

Solution: vPod and Winamp. And Ephpod if you use more than one computer.

i'm just glad to know i'm not the only one with the problem. i think i'll give winamp a try. thanks for the advice, people.

never had any problems with it at all. better sound, performance, reliability and order than WMP or winamp or realplayer or anything else ive tried.both WMP and realplayer suck so hard this seemed to be the only option back when i got it. but im glad i did.

wmplayer is about 100x better than itunes.more functionality, less overhead, and a superior interface.
10/6/2005 3:24:53 PM
WMP is gay and so are you for endorsing it
10/6/2005 3:29:56 PM
the vPod software is hot shit
10/6/2005 3:30:17 PM
winamp is gay. it's so small and unorganized. i like the itunes organization, i just hate that it breaks up sometimes. you think they'll fix the problem in the next version of itunes?
10/6/2005 4:00:29 PM
Its been an issue for a long time with iTunes, if Apple hasnt figured it out yet, dont expect it to get fixedWinAmp small? yes. WinAmp Gay? No. But does WinAmp Work? Hell yes, i've been using that shit since back when I had a Pentium 90MHz machine, WinAmp has the best MP3 playing capability IMO

You haven't used crappy software, until you've used Windows Media Player for Mac.I think the Windows Quicktime is just payback for that. I've never had a problem with iTunes on Windows though.[Edited on October 6, 2005 at 5:44 PM. Reason : 2]

It's likely because your PC isnt up to snuff performance wise, or you have some kind of botched quicktime install.

yea.So the software that shits on itself after long periods of use is greatand the one that uses less system resources and has a better interface is crap.way to go.

ive used itunes for a couple years now, connstantly too, its almost always open unless im playing a game and ive never had one problem with it, in fact on both my family's home computer and my laptop, at times when the cd drives werent burning itunes was the only program that burned the cds flawlessly. and its definitely the fastest burn using my cd player.and i dono winamp is just not my thing. i guess its all personal preference. id choose it over realplayer or WMP but not itunes[Edited on October 7, 2005 at 11:51 AM.
