I have my friends laptop for a few days, and I cant get it to connect to the internet. I unplug the ethernet out of my desktop, and plug it into the laptop, but it never connects. I took the laptop over to one of my friends, and it works over there. I dont have any special connections set up or routers or anything, just a plain normal cable internet connection. What could the problem be??


I get a message that says it couldnt assign a network address to the computer, therefore, it has limited or no connectivity.
