whenever i burn a cd it goes through successfully but when its done nothing is on the cd. i have tried 2 different types of cds and 2 different cd burners and 2 different burning softwares but the cd remains blank after every "burn" so it must be a problem with the computer.

You need to give us more than just general descriptions. What software are you trying? What cd brands are you using? What kind of CD drives are you using? If you want real help then provide real information.

Or the obvious. Do you have "perform a test burn only" box checked somewhere?

I know some apps will go through and test to see if there will be any problems with the burn and they don't automatically burn after the test is completed. Is the red (typically) burn light coming on when you think it should be burning? Does the disk look like anything is burned to it when you are done (off-color section of the disk starting from the inside)?

but seriously, there is not enough info here to help yah much. what program are you using? have you tried another program? what settings are you using?
