9/22/2005 2:47:33 PM
eh, when did ABB ever open for DMB?
9/22/2005 4:54:29 PM
it wasn't technically ABB...i think it was Dickey Betts w/great southern or something like that...but they played mostly abb stuff
9/22/2005 5:00:04 PM
Dickey betts is freakin awesome. He plays alot of ABB because he wrote alot of theyre songs him and greg. Ill be at the show, cant wait for it..[Edited on September 22, 2005 at 9:05 PM. Reason : .]

I got a refund for my awesome tickets (Section 2, Row J, Seats 7 & 8) when I found out Skynyrd had to cancel.I have no clue who Moe is and that played into my decision.
9/29/2005 12:45:05 AM

9/29/2005 4:10:15 AM
moe. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (what's left of) Skynurt
9/29/2005 12:52:52 PM
There is no way to talk definitively about music. It's all your opinion. I can respect that. But since I bought the tickets to mainly see Skynyrd in the first place, you can understand my decision.
9/29/2005 4:51:27 PM
you should have saved those tix...moe. is going to bring down the house....Ill be there...
9/29/2005 5:10:32 PM

I wish they wouldve played more of their hit songs. I only recognized 6 of the tunes. The 40 minute drum solo got old too. Overall it is obvious that Derrick and Warren are awesome but I wasnt feeling some of the other stuff the band did tonight.[Edited on October 1, 2005 at 12:11 AM. Reason : .]

I think knowing that Skynyrd was out, and moe. was in made them feel a little more free to take those kinds of liberties. I loved the setlist precisely because it was different. I'm glad this wasn't my first show, though. I definitely would not have appreciated it as much as I did last year's.
10/1/2005 12:12:42 AM
and the moe. set lists wasst. augustine*ittailspin>timmy tuckerhappy hour hero>she>wormwoodokayalright*third stone from the sun teasei think im missing something here, gimmee a minute (oh ya wormwood!)and ya, honestly the allmans were more jammy than moe. which really surprised me because outside of tailspin>timmy tucker moe. didnt really break it down (still great to see them though)they still werent up to par with how they were 5 years ago with dickey and derek when they played a 40 min mountain jam, that shit was freakin awesome[Edited on October 1, 2005 at 11:26 AM. Reason : if you didnt know the allman bros were a jamband then you shouldnt have been there]
10/1/2005 11:21:31 AM
that show was infuckingcredibleeleventy billion times better than last year
10/1/2005 11:23:38 AM

10/1/2005 11:41:26 AM

I'll admit I just plain didn't know those songs. Let me know so I can rip my Instant Live CDs I think my only specific regret was no piano on Jessica [Edited on October 1, 2005 at 11:56 AM. Reason : I guess it was Chuck that usually did that]

10/1/2005 11:57:58 AM

10/1/2005 11:59:02 AM

10/1/2005 12:05:53 PM

....i'm sorry to be one of "THOSE PEOPLE"but I got so tanked..............and I was so tired of listening to that damn drum solo for an hour- but my dad has always told me, "that's what they used to do back in the day"
10/1/2005 4:06:28 PM
i don't know what you guys are complaining about, that drum solo was hot shit
10/1/2005 4:34:03 PM
the drum solo at jones beach was my favorite part. they were on fire that night.
10/1/2005 4:56:39 PM
o man i forgot about guilded splinters, who originally did that song, cuz i knew it as a panic song?
10/2/2005 5:05:06 PM
One of the roadies for the show took his dog to our vet. That's about as close as I got.
10/2/2005 5:08:54 PM
^^ I want to say Dr. John originally did it but I'm not 100% sure.
10/2/2005 5:23:25 PM
^^^One of my fondest Panic memories is a Guilded Splinters with Warren Haynes at Bonnaroo. Low Spark> Guilded> Low Spark in Charlotte was pretty nasty also. And yes, it is a Dr. John song. Saps, you sir, have good taste in music.
