I'm interested in recording or just monitoring the phone calls at my house.



Can I do this with just software and a standard PCI modem? Or do I need an external device?




I want it to record whenever a call is made or recieved.

You can record all conversations on a line and I think, though I'm not sure, your father is within his right to do that till your sister turns 18.

And yeah, he didnt have to deal with this when I was a kid, so he's not seasoned in dealing with unruly children or behavior. I'm not sure what he's gonna do with the info that these phone taps provide him, but it's not really my place to call him a bad father.
