Whenever I try to open a word file, or just open microsoft word, a little box comes up that says:

preparing to install ..... little blue bars come up like its installing ... then it says the feature i'm trying to use is on a cd-rom or other removable disk that is not available, it also says ok, cancel, browse ... when i press cancel, it says to see some help file (i just looked at it ... it says something about a cd) ... but then word opens. whats up with that? recently, it started started closing abruptly. i just lost a file, but i had just started it. is there a simple way to fix this? computers really aren't my forte.

Microsoft Word/Office starts shitting the bed after a year or two. Try each CD until it works. If you don't have the CDs, stop stealing and try openoffice.org
