As of now Katrina is not in the top 25 disasters in the US as far as total dead...they are gonna find more bodies, but for now its not even TOP 25
9/12/2005 4:23:24 PM
Link to top 25?
9/12/2005 4:46:38 PM
i'll have to find it unless somebody else has a link bfore then
9/12/2005 4:50:29 PM
when will people learn that they have to back up the arguments with evidence?
9/12/2005 4:52:50 PM
point?
9/12/2005 4:53:39 PM
point is its not the worst disaster to ever hit the US as far as deaths go, SO FAR...its not even close
9/12/2005 4:57:12 PM
no, the real point is I don't give a damn.
9/12/2005 4:59:46 PM
the $bling factor is the issue...
9/12/2005 5:02:17 PM
cookiepuss dont get mad because the hurricane that Bush caused didnt kill as many people as over 25 other disastersbtw, Mississippi and Alabama and northern Louisiana called...they are pissed that New Orleans gets all the pub
9/12/2005 5:05:16 PM
How could it even begin to be on any lists of Disasters in the US when it happened like 2 weeks ago... They cannot automatically update everylist...
9/12/2005 5:06:52 PM
no but the point is, there have been over 25 disasters that have been documented to have more deaths than the CURRENT DEATH TOTAL of Katrina which is a few hundred AS OF NOW...like I said...they are gonna find more bodies...but its just a lesser-publicized statistic that Katrina has caused less deaths that we know of so far than over 25 other disasters...seeing how lots of media are calling it the worst disaster ever...they equivocate monetary damage to being the worst...even though inflation clearly favors more recent disasters as being more expensive
9/12/2005 5:11:09 PM
actually i was just inserting an ATHF quote that last time.
9/12/2005 5:18:26 PM
dont make me flip my pixelated 2-dimensional bird at you as hard as i can
9/12/2005 5:23:07 PM
uman entire city was destroyeddoes that not do anything for you?
9/12/2005 5:40:03 PM
umhe specified according to bodycount statisticsdoes that not do anything for you?
9/12/2005 5:41:27 PM
did anyone say it was number 1 in deaths? or top 25?i missed that. this thread is worthless[Edited on September 12, 2005 at 5:42 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2005 5:42:09 PM
no i realize its fucking bad down there...so bad i cant honestly say i could imagine what its likebut at the same time, as of right now, 10x the people died on 9/11/01, for example...you can re-build cities, you cant resurrect people
9/12/2005 5:46:17 PM
yep thats totally what i meant
9/12/2005 5:47:45 PM
you dont have to explain, its easy to tell
9/12/2005 5:48:49 PM
What's important is for everyone to realize that Bush created the hurricane to kill black people and he didn't even do a good job at that. What a terrible president.
9/12/2005 5:50:08 PM
I don't know about you, but I judge the awesomeness of a President by how much he can piss off hippies[Edited on September 12, 2005 at 6:46 PM. Reason : ]

so far #2 natural in deaths but over 75% of areas havnt been touched yet. therre could be as many as 15k dead worse case scenario which would pentuple #1 gavelstons 3k. as for disasters in general what are you counting? civil war battles?
9/12/2005 7:24:55 PM
^ You too!?!? And I thought I was the only one.
9/12/2005 7:40:32 PM
the civil war ownz anything god can come up withexcept for diseases and such, of course
9/12/2005 8:13:25 PM
9/12/2005 9:06:55 PM
I hope that Tara Reid is on that list somewhere.Oh thats right. I went there.

9/13/2005 3:15:12 AM
Lies, damned lies
9/13/2005 3:16:42 AM
everyone PLEASE...donate all your money, thats not already taxed, to people who are relocated because they got government assistance all their lives and they need your assistance...dont let the millionaires just donate millions...donate your life savings of a few thousand dollars to the people who have never worked a day in their lives because they're used to the subsidies of the local liberal government...only a few hundred lives have been lost, but theres a whole city thats been destroyed...and we all know cities cant be rebuilt...you have to pay us...we will build a better city with higher levee walls to break...we dont understand simple coastal processes so we shall continue here and continue to subsidize the people who we tell not to work]
9/13/2005 3:25:28 AM
sounds good, who do i make the check out to?
9/13/2005 10:22:30 AM
this thread is worthless without a link
9/13/2005 10:31:35 AM
this thread is worthless because it doesnt coincide with the focus of the liberal media
9/13/2005 11:07:20 AM
or you could just be making it up
9/13/2005 11:11:47 AM
what are the top 25?
9/13/2005 11:13:40 AM
or you could be a fucking idiot to think the few hundred documented deaths so far from katrina come close to rivaling the body counts from a number of earthquakes and hurricanes in the past before we had doppler radar and weather satellites
9/13/2005 11:14:19 AM
i like how you keep putting "so far".whats the point of even comparing it until we know the final count?
9/13/2005 11:15:25 AM
wheres the mothafuckin link you no linking retards?
9/13/2005 11:17:36 AM
well its over 2 weeks since the eye wall passed new orleans and theyve found "only" a few hundred deadmaybe if some news outlets reported this you would carebut they wont do that because "this is the worst disaster in american history" and "bush was too busy vacationing to show up in new orleans 5 minutes after the storm passed"
9/13/2005 11:18:16 AM
also. i'd like to hold our response to natural disasters to a higher standard now that we do have doppler radar and whatnot. and i don't think many disasters this century have caused this many deaths. maybe 10.
9/13/2005 11:18:17 AM
I'm curious as to what the Top 25 are.
9/13/2005 11:18:39 AM
well i'd like to hold new orleans police and local govt somewhat responsible when they abandon their city, but its obviously bush's responsibility to personally guarantee the safety of 280,000,000 people
9/13/2005 11:19:30 AM
or maybe you would rather take this as "fact"
9/13/2005 11:23:24 AM
i realize that the body count might not be that high compared to other disasters but im curious what the top 25 are
9/13/2005 11:25:17 AM
i think youre getting way to defensive over this.people just want to see the list of top 25 disasters...and then wait until the body count is finished before we can compare katrina with them.i dont think thats too much to ask.[Edited on September 13, 2005 at 11:28 AM. Reason : df]
9/13/2005 11:25:59 AM
well im still trying to find itbut for example- the hurricane that hit galveston texas in 1900 caused over 8000 deaths- atlantic gulf hurricane in 1919 - 600-900 deaths- San Felipe-Okeechobee Hurricane of 1928 - over 1800 people dead IN FLORIDA ALONE- New england hurricane in 1938 - over 600 people killedthats 4 hurricanes with more deaths...and i didnt list any earthquakes or heatwaves or mt st helens eruptions...does the fact that katrina is not one of the top us disasters as far as deaths start to sound a little more plausible now?(still looking for link)do people even remember that anymore? also
