Ok, I decided to start this topic b/c I don't really have time to look for a car right now due to my school schedule.Anyways, I am looking for a '97 to '98 Nissan 240sx 5spd. with fewer than 80k miles in good condition. Or a '96 SE model in 5spd. with fewer than 75k miles in good condition. (and for a fair price! fair being around 7-10.5k) I would prefer stock cars (no rice) and one somewhere within North or northern - South Carolina I have looked all over the internet, and called a bunch of dealers and they don't have what I'm looking for.So I figured that if any of you guys on here new of any for sale, and tell me, and I end up buying one I would reward you with some money. like $75 or something (maybe more if you're nice). So if you know of one for sale...or if you have one for sale, let me know![Edited on September 10, 2005 at 6:05 PM. Reason : i dont need no stinking reason]

Here is the thing, the average person drives about 12,000 miles a year. Right off the bat, you are looking for a car with pretty low miles; 11,500 miles a year for the '98 and 10,000 a year for the 8 year old '97 model. Good luck on finding a 96 with the owner babying it with 8333 miles per year. Couple that with the fact that Nissan only sold 3,198 240SXs in 1998 and approximately 3,655 in 1997.Finally, you have everyone jumping on the 240SX bandwagon and thus inflating the prices. Yippie.Your options are:- get lucky on Ebay- get lucky an snatch one up on autotrader before someone else. Even then, an uneducated seller can receive numerous offers over their asking price and thus fucking you out of that good deal you just found.- find someone to hook you up with their 240 or someone else's- pay $texas- since you sold your Civic, but a cheap DD and a cheaper S13 or S14 and fix it up- pick a different carSales figures sources:http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB9&Number=50164&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=all&vc=1http://www.nissannews.com/site_library/corporate/news/1999/facts.shtml [Edited on September 10, 2005 at 7:05 PM. I wouldn't mind moving to a new platform.. something with a little more handling potential and less nose heavy like an FD or S14 but I'm about to tie up all my money in a new motorcycle and finding a buyer for the dsm would take ages

My little bro is selling his '95 240SX SE 5sp at the moment. It has a few modifications done to it suspension-wise, but nothing serious. I believe it has around 120,000 miles though. But he goes to NCSU so that makes the location very convenient. Contact me if you're interested
