I'm at work and they have this in the program files. I'm trying to use ArcMap but when I try to run it I get an error message. It shows it was downloaded and certificates are ok so I don't know what to do to get it to run.

Any help?

since about a week ago.

ArcInfo and ArcGIS workstation 3 disc set, $9.95.

You've got to be at least a halftime student or fulltime faculty/staff at NCSU, students from other universities (as with most special ultra cheap licenses) can't buy it.

You need ArcGIS Desktop as well.

The 3 disc set has argis desktop and arcgis arcinfo. the first disc is "ArcGIS 9, ArcGIS Desktop 9.1 for Windows." The next two discs are "ArcInfo Workstation -Disc 1" and "ArcInfo Workstation Disc 2."

you can see what ArcInfo and ArcGIS Desktop actually do at

http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/about/desktop.html

pretty sure the "ArcGIS desktop" is a suite of those listed programs.

^ I'm not entirely sure about the software though, as I've never used it before. For better info you could always contact bill_blades@ncsu.edu . Also, your professor might know.

anyways, there's about 20 copies sitting around for 9.95, right next to the 3.95 mathematica (like anybody uses it though.)
