Ok, so now that I've found out that the Bucs here on the bay pretty much hate USF (sorta like how athletics at State treats the band) and Malcom Glazer is a jerk, and since I lost interest in the Redskins b/c of Dan Snyder (and, to a lesser extent, Steve Spurrier), I've decided to take up the cause of the downtrodden, long-time AFC favorite of mine.Season starts against the Broncos, bitches. Gus Ferotte at QB.[Edited on September 9, 2005 at 2:31 AM. Reason : .]

4-12
9/9/2005 2:33:39 AM
will be better then people think. 7-9. however, ricky comes back in week 4 and ends up having a good season. they need a qb, and that has been the problem since marino left. and that was like 10 years ago.
9/9/2005 3:42:48 AM
You expect them to finish 7-9 with no QB?Come ooooooooooon.
9/9/2005 3:57:21 AM
yeah, good defense, good running game, good new coach, i think they pull out a few close ones. they did beat NE at the end of last year w/ essentially the same team. Gus Ferotte just needs to help the chains move a bit and they will be ok.

"Good" isn't going to cut it in the AFC. And last year's game against the Pats was a garbage game, since neither team had much to play for.Let's face it, their QB situation is pretty awful, they have a brand new coach that hasn't proven his worth in the NFL, their O-line is suspect and they'll be outmatched by just about every team they play. They won't finish even close to .500.

"And last year's game against the Pats was a garbage game, since neither team had much to play for."youre telling me that new england did not want homefield advantage last year? The dolphins should win more than 5 games, a strong running attack along with one of the better front defensive 7s in the nfl should allow them to keep every game close enough for them to have a chance.
9/9/2005 8:24:50 AM
i see 5 games in their schedule that they have a decent shot at, and i think they could pull an upset, so i'll say optimistically 6-10, but i think 5-11 is more likely
9/9/2005 8:55:18 AM
I want to beat the Pats. And the running game will be fun to watch. Thats why I like them.
9/9/2005 7:51:39 PM
I am a dolphins fan, but I am also a realist. They will be lucky to win 5 games.
9/9/2005 7:59:50 PM
Its a fact: the Fins are undefeated when they wear orange jerseys. Its also a fact: they arent wearing them this year at all.Good for lovers of non-hideous uniforms, bad for the team (i guess).

In Saban we trust.....stomped the donkeys...
9/11/2005 4:24:07 PM
my prediction doesn't look so bad anymore...miami 34 denver not nearly 34...
9/11/2005 4:44:57 PM
thats how you finish a blowout...1-0
9/11/2005 6:27:00 PM
well theres the upset i was counting on, but it came early. perhaps they'll get more than the 1.
9/11/2005 6:48:44 PM
bandwagons are fun!
9/11/2005 6:51:12 PM

9-7I expect us to make the playoffs next year, w/ Ferotte and a healthy backfield. turn the page...
1/8/2006 1:42:19 AM
saban shouldve been coach of the year.....go fins...heres to 2006 with 15 mil of cap space to improve
1/8/2006 1:51:39 AM
hell yeah, i didnt even know we had that much. Saban does deserve COTY, a 5-game turnaround in his first year. Too bad we play in the AFC...the GOOD conference.
1/8/2006 1:58:36 AM
we need a QB, then we will be set

Gus Ferotte is a stable QB, but a younger starter would be nice. Someone whose name isnt AJ.
1/8/2006 4:42:24 PM
There has been talk of David Carr, Drew Brees, Tim Couch, Philip Rivers, and Steve McNair coming to play for the Dolphins. I'd be very upset if they waste their money on McNair or Couch. Couch lives in Ft Lauderdale and has been working out with the team.
1/8/2006 4:43:13 PM
i want Rivers, but SD wont trade him now that Brees has been injured.
1/8/2006 4:44:35 PM
jay cutler and brady quinns name have been thrown around down there too...
1/8/2006 5:51:42 PM
