I can't find anything about this anywhere, so maybe I'm the only one really annoyed by it.When a song ends in iTunes, and it switches to the next song, the window automatically scrolls so that that song is at the top. This is pretty frustrating when I am browsing through other songs, and it jumps up or down a few thousand songs away. I guess this is really a minor inconvenience, but if anyone knows of a way to disable it, I would certainly appreciate it.

get longer songs

The best way to disable it is to pause the music or click on a song where you are browsing right before it changes. That's about the only way around it.

Click/Highlight a song on the page where you want to be, and then when it does its little auto-scroll thingie, just press up or down arrow and the focus will redirect to the selected song. The workaround is easy, but there should be a preference to turn that off completely.

does itunes have an option to delete a song from your hard drive from within the itunes interface? the only thing i can find is a right-click option to open up a windows explorer window with the file in it, then you can delete it from there. would be much better if u could delete from within the interface. any ideas?

does 5.0 fix these issues?

If you have iTunes set to "Keep iTunes Music Folder Organized" then when you delete a song from the library, it will ask you if you want to move the song file to the trash.

If you enable the "Keep iTunes Music Folder Organized" option and allow it to make a copy of each song there as you import it then it should ask you if you want to delete just the playlist entry or both the file and the entry. If you are letting it pull from a single (flat) music folder then I am not sure.[Edited on September 8, 2005 at 9:37 AM.
