that how their first cd was too though...a couple of the songs could have come straight off of calculating infinity

damn man

just picked up the Solace today...it's just as awesome as BII, and upon the first couple listens it seems to surpass it. unfortunately the production still is sub-par, which sucks because these guys are fucking insane...with this kind of music you MUST have exellent production or you just arent going to get everything out of it that they intendedthat said, if you're a fan, this album will kick you in the nads all over again

yea the only thing i can think of is that they want a dirty kind of sound? but i know what you mean, it kind of bugs me too and there are def plenty of studios that will sound 10x better than that that are reasonably priced in the US
10/3/2005 6:55:24 PM
i mean i guess it's possible that's the sound they intended, but it's really the only thing holding their albums back from pure excellence. i mean it's not horrible, but with such ridiculously technical music you can't really go for a "dirty" sound and not have it sound like a wall of noise at times
10/3/2005 6:58:50 PM
oh i totally agree. that was just the only thought i had. unless they recorded that themselves haha i bet i could find them a studio or two that would charge less than what they paid and do a much better job
10/3/2005 7:07:11 PM
the cd is still retardedly wild
