yeah but they arent just on MB and BMWssearch ebay motors for "window regulator" and look at how many different cars use cables. they are the most widely used type today, and definitely not the most solid. but they are cheaply made and easier to R&R than the sector gear type[Edited on September 5, 2005 at 5:00 PM. well the bmw one was a lot easier than this benz one looks. but right now i got the window up and taped. i found a regulator for a bmw for like $150, hopefully i can find one cheaper or so for the benz. (i still gotta fix the BMW, but the window is stuck in the up position, which is good)
