I keep hearing right-wing pundits say that news outlets don't tell the American people the good things that are happening in Iraq.If you have a "good news in Iraq" story, please post it here and cite the source.Thanks.

lets see - a murderous dictator was dethroned. The people participated in elections - which is the first step towards civilised rule. Women are less likely to be raped by the Iraq army.......SOUNDS FUCKIGN GOOD TO ME!But you are right Pridery – war solves NOTHING>

^ i know, right? do tell me, how many american servicemen are raping iraqi women, though? are you trying to compare our beloved troops to that of the iraqi's formerly corrupt system?

1. Some towns have their first paved roads and schools.2. Secured the oil pipeline and fields3. More Iraqis are being trained every day so that the US can pull out possibly as soon as next year.4. Removed any threat that Sadam represented to the US and to the rest of the World.5. Stopped some funding to terrorist organizations.6. Giving every Iraqi province a say in the Iraqi law system, not just the radicals.7. No more mass murders, rapes, tortures, or any other intentional pain caused by Sadam.Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.Remember, for every story that the media has with a citizen complaining, you could also find a citizen applauding.

^ I wish they would pave our roads instead of Iraq's and secure our oil pipelines

I generally like "no more mass murders and rapes."
9/2/2005 12:27:46 PM
hahahhaBut seriously, I think there's a lot more people being killed on a day to day basis in Iraq since the war's been started.

Oil prices went down, which is something liberals were saying was the real reason Bush went to war.
