I just got an old computer from my work. When I turned it on, though, it started giving a repeated long beep code. No difference in the length. Supposedly repeated long beeps means that there is a memory error. But I plugged the memory into this computer and everything worked fine. How often do beep codes deviate from the ibm bios standard?
