My computer has various problems; pop-ups, viruses, it's simply not the way it was when I bought it. How hard would it be to wipe the operating system off (Window XP) and reinstall it? Would this fix my problems and make it as good as new? This is a laptop computer and my computer knowledge is basic. Thanks for the help/advice!

1. a full system spyware scan

2. a full system virus scan

EVERY DAY.

schedule it for 3 am or some shit.

I haven't done a full system spyware or virus scan since I bought my computer 4 years ago, and there's not a thing on it that can do any damage or even create an annoyance .... oh wait, you said PC ..... nevermind OMG YAY APPLE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEgonadsEEEEEEEEEstrife



As for answering your question, it's pretty easy to reinstall your system. But you'll also have to reinstall every program you have (and you'll probably want to not install that stupid shit that brought the spyware in with it). And be sure you back up your data. And also be prepared to a lot more flames to follow.
