when i'm using IE, I'm used to scrolling pages with the roller on the mouse. But now when I do it it makes the webpages go forward and back.

Any clues?

maybe check a setting in Start Menu > Control Panel > Mouse

perhaps there is a Device Settings tab that would allow you to change the function of the scroll wheel
