http://www.gmailforums.com/lofiversion/index.php/t11797.htmlthis is what is going on with me...
8/30/2005 6:10:43 PM
It is just some accounts that are having problems.
8/30/2005 6:19:23 PM
yeah well mine is one of them i'm doing spybot and adaware to see if that helps...if not then i'll wipe it with hijackthis hopefully
8/30/2005 6:23:17 PM
adaware + spybot + restart + hijackthis = fixedbout time
8/30/2005 7:39:01 PM
that was stupid
8/30/2005 7:45:42 PM
i run spyware programs weekly if not nightly as well as norton and microsoft antispyware...gmail just was going screwy for me on every computer and didn't work until i did that stuff...although there is a chance it was just my username that was messed up for a while (as it was screwy on multiple computers), oh well...it works now.
8/30/2005 8:09:22 PM
why do you go to such terrible sites?
8/30/2005 8:16:33 PM
lol...i don't...i tend to err on the safe side when it comes to viruses and spyware...
8/30/2005 8:23:51 PM
thats just crazy though you take the time to run the damn things nightly just freaken ghost the computer and then when something goes wrong it takes less time to go back then it does to check it
8/31/2005 7:34:36 AM
It doesn't really take any time to scan for viruses and spyware when you have it scheduled to run overnight.
8/31/2005 10:02:38 AM
YOU DONT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER AT NIGHT GEORGE!WHAT KIND OF CONSERVATIONALIST ARE YOU!?!?!?!?
8/31/2005 10:05:42 AM
^^thank you
8/31/2005 1:35:03 PM
yea... but that doesnt mean its catching everything, or even the best way. i find that imaging it and spending about 30 min restoring it anytime theres anything wrong. but i guess its personall preference

ok gmail is down again for me...i guess last time that my account went down and was fixed on their end because i did the same stuff and it still doesn't work...it was working fine today until i opened gmail notifier in mozilla...i'm convinced that there is a bug there so be on the lookout if you use that...i don't know any other reason that my account would go down
9/7/2005 12:26:35 PM
well what do you mean your account is down? Can you not get to gmail.com, or are you getting a locked out message? This may be similar to the "Smart Delete Button" greasemonkey script a couple months ago - it was continuously polling the gmail servers making it look like you were sending spam or something, so gmail locked you out automatically.
9/7/2005 12:36:54 PM
it's working now...i was getting the server is down message over and over just like last time. i removed greasemonkey and gmail notifier and it's working fine now...who knows[Edited on September 7, 2005 at 6:52 PM. Reason : it didn't work in ie either though]
