Wasn't very good, very disappointing. Gonna have to look forward to Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia to offset the bad fantasy

didn't like it either...it felt disjointed...pretty much only useful if you like to laugh at inappropriate times and enjoy playing "spot the reference"

wasn't it directed by terry gilliam?

Yes, it was. I enjoyed it, personally, but I am a huge Gilliam fan. It was, however, easily his worst film, in my opinion. From what I've heard, he was pretty much broken by the Weinsteins. Unlike all of his previous battles with studios, he gave in on this one, and decided just to focus his efforts on "Tideland" (adapted and directed by Gilliam), which is coming out later this year or early next year.

"extraordinary league of fairytales" pretty much sums it up

^^ yeah, everyone i saw the movie with started making excuses for Gilliam the second we walked out of the theater..."the studio took it away from him""he just didn't care by the end"...whatever... it just wasn't very good...

I still want to see it regardless. Read a book a while back on the life of the Grimm brothers and it'd be funny to see since they were the polar opposites of these characters. I like Gilliam also.
