I ave a Maxtor drive that I am trying to add as a slave drive but no matter where I put the jumper it is still recognized as a secondary master. What am I doing wrong?

^^ yeah, remember that the master drive goes on the end of the cable and slave attaches to the connector in the middle of the cable.

What channel is it on, and which one do you want to add it to? Also, what else is on the channel?
