Say I have a website, we'll say thewolfweb.comOn this website I have a simple form that lets users email their friends about my website by just filling in their email address and their friends email address and pressing send. Simple enoughNow, is there a way for people to send the site to everyone on their buddy list. They type in their screen name and press send and an IM is sent to people on their buddy list who are online. The IM simply states "Hey, you should visit thewolfweb.com" and it is automatically linked? Not sure if it is possible and I can't find a script or tutorial on how to do it.

I hope not. That would be a nightmare.

If I knew I was going to be copied, I would have try to come up with something more clever... maybe:"If anyone came up with such a script, I would murder them."

such a thing might or might not work, would require that the user have aim up, and logged in, and not be using trillian or the like. Plus I would then hunt you down, put a 168 grain matchking through both your knees, and leave you to bleed out.I mean come ON, do you NEED to make the internet any MORE annoying? I get enough spam on ICQ, I dont need AIM spam So dont create a new spammer tool. Just Say No

it is possible and it already exists

fuck you. you're what's wrong with this world.

I accept that

worst idea, ever.

It's possible, and people do it, but it doesn't work as well as you'd probably like. The aim servers restrict how many IM you can send, especially to different users, to reduce spamming.

yeah, the one I found only sends to one person and you have to type in the name, so basically it's just setting up the IM for you

Just meet someone at AOL and pay them to give you names:http://money.cnn.com/2005/08/17/news/aol_spam.reut/index.htm?cnn=yes

just make the script loop through the names individually instead of sending them all at the same timeproblem solved

if the site was good enough to tell other people about, you would do it without a lame ass script and just tell them about it.
