just got it and i don't know how to put my mp3s on it from itunes.first, is there some kind of better software that can handle the downloads.my difficulty with itunes is that i can't save specific playlists to the pod. the program automatically uploads my entire collection everytime it's opened.detailed instructions on how to use itunes to accomplish things would be much appreciated.thanks.

Not to be an asshole, but this IS pretty well spelled out in the manual. Hell, if you just start playing with the dialogs in iTunes, they're dirt simple as well.

^What he said. To create playlists, first click on your Ipod's name, go to file and "New playlist". To add songs, go to file, "Add file to library". Drag the song from your library to the Ipod.
