Matt Cassel looked really good last night... yeah, he wont start ahead of Brady obviously, and yeah, he was going against the Bengals 2nd and 3rd string Defenses (but he was also playing with NE's 2nd and 3rd string offense) but he looked really really good. I think he is going to pass up Davey for the backup spot in case Brady gets hurt.

so if your fantasy league has 74 teams in it you should consider drafting Cassel?

I mean where exactly were you going with this...

no... just saying if you have Brady and he gets hurt, I think Cassel woiuld be a good option instead of looking at another QB to pick up

Losman is moving really good, really mobile, but every pass I have seen so far he is leaving his receivers really vulnerable, leading them right into defenders....

Ronnie Brown just signed... early enough into camp that unless he totally plays like shit Lamar Gordon is now worthless and Brown will be a good RB for at least the first 4 weeks

I wish it had been Akili Smith.

I miss Akili Smith.

Akili Smith was my favorite Shitty Quarterback.

he's got a bit of learning to do, but for a veteran like him, it should be fairly seamless

Don't draft the following players:

Via Sikahema, Neal Anderson, Jay Novacek, and DE Bills

Yes these guys were Tecmo Bowl/Super Tecmo Bowl legends, but they are not viable fantasy options.

Pretty good, would have to see the scoring system, but pretty good.

Few Notes:

I would start Julius Jones over Martin most weeks, Dallas is going to pound the shit out of the ball and Bledsoe is juuuuust enough to keep them from stacking the box every down...

L.J. Smith over Shockey, especially if Owens is out

Not sure what Mason will do with shitty ass Boller, might want to put Plex in... and Boston is worthless until he proves otherwise

I could use a suggestion or two with what to adjust on my team.

My good - I have Carolina defense, Vinateri kicking, and snagged both Antonio Gates and L.J. Smith.... oh and I have this mysterious guy named Tomlinson.

My bad - I have some questionables... I have big Ben and Vick to pick from on QB. For WRs I'm currently sitting with Williams (Det), Moose (damnit Rex), Stokley, and Keary Colbert. This league went WR crazy early on and due to the way the live draft worked there were like 16 picks that went by before I had a single choice and at that point Williams was actually one of the best starters left. So.. I'm sitting with a WR dillema of sorts without many good starting WRs remaining. I only need 2 to play though because I'm running 3 RBs since the scoring system benefits them more.

I can work around the WRs but I don't know what to do with the RBs. I have Westbrook and Dunn (L.T. is starting of course). I could pick up Cadillac but there really aren't any starting RBs left that get many touches other than him potentially. I'm wondering if I should throw up Smith or Gates for trade bait, go with what I have, or maybe drop Dunn? Ehh.... this is why I'm only doing one easy fantasy team this year - no time to look at stats, compare, and make good choices.

I like Cadillac a lot.,... your WR are weak, especially with Stokely's shoulder injury, I like LJ Smith a lot this year, if the peeps in your league like him too then trade him for WR help and keep the more consistant Gates.... if the arent big on Smith, then trade Gates and maybe a WR for a really good WR

thanks for the suggestions - but looks like I'm in a bit of trouble - Cadillac was taken before I could pick him up and Dunn hurt his ankle lol.... I'm definitely going to have to do some trading because there isn't anyone left worth picking up in RB/WR right now

exactly

i'm a huge Colts fan, and since i had the number 1 pick, i took peyton, because it was wise, and because he's my boy

however, down the line, i passed on stokely to take Eric Moulds, because I expect Moulds to have a better season. its just business, doesn't mean i wont be cheering him all season

Both taken..

Lee Suggs is available but I'm not sure if he will start over Droughns at Cleveland.

He is quite literally the only RB left that has potential to start I believe. Funny to see Hoover in the top backs left in the list right now. As it stands I may have to keep Dunn for sure and hope the report of his ankle not being serious is true... orrr go with Suggs... there really isn't much option left for RBs. I got away with getting Tomlinson - and I'm not sure how in depth these guys are but I don't think Smith is going to be good for trading. Might have to offer up Gates and see what I can get in WRs. I know a guy who loves Gates and he is sitting on a few good WRs

^^ Already taken.

^^^ Dayne is available but I'm wanting more touches than 2nd/3rd backs. And Tiki is gone... quite literally every running back that starts is gone - there are fullbacks and 2nd/3rd backs left only. There are two teams who decided to stack up on some backs for whatever reason and are going to hurt in a week or two due to WR shortage but maybe they intend to do trades or just wanted security since we can run 3 RBs and the points benefit them? Who knows... I'm sure the teams will change up a bit once the season starts up anyway. Thanks for the tips - I'm going to just sit back and hope Dunn stays healthy and make best of what I have until trades or injuries change things
