Ok, so I came home last night and found my PC was off and wouldn't turn back on. Naturally I figured it was the power supply so I took the power supply apart and I could definately smell smoke. I went and got a replacement power supply today and it booted just fine. But I opened up the PC and noticed that the fan on my motherboard doesn't run anymore. So I guess my question is, do I really need that fan to run? If so, is there any way of replacing that fan without replacing the entire motherboard? My motherboard is MSI MS-6380E @ 133mhz bus

When you say "fan on the motherboard" are you talking about the one on the CPU? if so, yes you need that fan and its easy to replace.

Yes. unscrew it and take it Intrex or whatever.Dont try BB or CC. They wont have it. You need a PC repair shop or http://www.neweggorsomeonetheronlinemerchant.com
