car: 1994 geo prizm , 150k milesabout 3 weeks ago, i left my windows down overnight and in the morning my car would not start. it would not turn over. sometimes i would hear a whine and sometimes i would hear nothing. I tried starting it ~ 10 times before i tapped the starter with a stick, then it started fine. after i was on the road i noticed my CD player had been reset, no memory of stations or anything.everything was normal until this morning... I left my windows down again last night and the same thing happened. This time tapping on the starter didn't help, tapping on the battery connections is what got it to start. I couldnt get my radio to turn on whiile i was trying to start the car, but once it was started it came on and had been reset again.could moisture be shorting something out? any ideas?

clean battery cables first, might want to clean the power wire going to the starter as well, see if that helps

either corroded terminals or a bad battery
