Alright guys, I need some help. I'm using Frontpage 98 and publishing to a server that has the extensions installed. It's not the first website I've published to one of their servers using the program, but long story made short I switched computers, designed a new site, and now need to publish it. Anyway, I had them publish their own file to the server and they said it works fine, which they showed to me as proof. So, I know the problem's on my end. Anyway, I've got my "web" setup and ready to be published, but when I go to publish it, it'll give me one of two errors;1) Client closed connection.2) an error occurred while accessing your web files; if authoring against a web server, please contact the webmaster. They are abbreviations of their full form, but that's what it says. I don't have a damn clue how to fix it and apparently it's working for them. So, what am I missing? I'm going to go through some password/authentication processes tonight, but other than that I don't know what to do!? Help me out!? Mike

I know, I know. It's for a relative's website so all I do is basic upgrades for him. Anyway, that's not the point. What's the issue? Mike

i didn't realize people actually "used" frontpage... i mean it has issues with everything... sorry that wasn't very helpful.are you sure it's not just a firewall preventing you from accessing it?[Edited on August 4, 2005 at 11:55 PM. Reason : .]

I dunno what the problem was; either way, I ended up publishing it via FTP. Not the greatest solution, but it'll work for now. It causes some problems with frontpage elements that are installed on the page, but I'll get that worked out somehow. Mike
