I wish that it worked for this camera...I plugged it in yesterday to have windows update find the best driver and installed it, but when I cut the camera on, it doesn't bring up the window that allows me to get them off.

If you have the proper driver then all you have to do is look under my computer and there should be a removable storage drive that is your camera. Then you can go in there and decide which pictures you want to take off etc. But if you want a pretty program that gets the pictures off your computer and organizes them for viewing etc, then I also recommend Picasa.

the olympus c3030 and those series of cameras only worked with their software.and they weren't cheap cameras either. took really good pictures. i loved the camera except that i couldn't get pictures off it unless i was at my own computer with their software.

my olympus C-5050 works fine as removable storage, in both linux and windowsdoes the camera use a card or internal memory? just get a card reader if it uses a cardI googled "apex 4330z" and it looks like it uses a cf card, so yeah..

1) I know that Ann stands for anniversary....people used to say that to him back in the day to get on his nerves...you should know that since you have been on here for around 4 years.2) I googled searched this problem for about an hour and didn't find much except that i can find generic drivers for the camera.I might just have to get a card reader. I picked up a new USB cord just to check to make sure it wasn't that today while I was in Greensboro. This camera isn't detected as a removable storage device.[Edited on August 2, 2005 at 7:03 PM. Ok this camera is bassackwards...There are several settings you can have the camera on before you cut it on. One of them is the PC setting. Now you would think that if you cut it on when it is in that setting, that it should work.....well nopeI had to cut the camera on when it is in the "image view" mode and then change it to the USB mode before the computer would recognize it...it still doesn't recognize as a removable storage device, but oh well...it works and that is all that matters
