its pretty easy to use the "import" feature of itunes - just make sure that you've got the preferences set to "mp3" instead of "m4p" or something.-ZiP!-

Winamp will rip CD's so that you can play them in Winamp.

^for some reason i thought the ripping capabilities were kinda restricted unless you paid for the program... but that could just be like winamp 2.9, the last one i used-ZiP!-

When I try to rip in Winamp it says something about unable to encode or something.

^^^^^ It'd be pretty tough to rip an album to m4p format. You mean to say m4a. m4p is protected (thus the "p") and the protection comes from the Music Store, not from the CD.

^^^^ With Winamp 5, you can rip, but speed is limited to 2x unless you pay for the program.^^^ You may want to try playing with the CD ripping options in the preferences window. There's a tab to change encoding options.[Edited on July 30, 2005 at 7:30 PM. Reason : ]
