ok so this is still in the works but its decently far along now so hopefully most of this info i put in here stays valid. the fest is gonna be July 30th in Raleigh NC at the grounds of dorton arena. they are booking a whole slew of national acts as well as picking a group of NC bands to play. since my band is playing ive been able to get a good amount of information from the booking guys and so far these are the national acts that are supposedly already confirmed:national actsclassic caseacross 5 aprilsthe chariotdead poeticas citys burnnumber 12 looks like youwinter solsticeevergreen terracecodesevenrefluxthe hoodslocalsCalled to ArmsSeneca+ more to comecost should be reasonable. right now its set at 15 bucks..thats a steal for that many bands so i hope it stays that way. hopefully ill have more updates soon or over the summer. the local bands that they picked still have a duty we have to attend to to help promote the show and one of the things is to sell 30 tickets. so, when the time comes if you are planning on going my band would REALLY appreciate it if you contacted us to buy tickets through us. christian bands galore, weeeeeeI like the #12, ET, and codeseven...but not enough to drive from Charlotte
6/6/2005 11:59:33 AM
BYD on Ozzfest that day, much rather see 'em in Raleigh, but dah well.
6/6/2005 12:27:08 PM
how come ashwin's site says theyre placing this? im pretty sure they dont fit in at all...and i saw codeseven open up for thursday at lincoln theatre and thought they werent that great.
6/6/2005 12:44:06 PM
when did christianity become the in thing in music? i miss the days when it was cool to not like religion
6/6/2005 12:45:46 PM
yea ashwin probably is. they have a lot of connections. IMO thats about the only reason they have got wherever they have gotten. codeseven has been a disappointment live for me the past few years altho all their cds are outstanding. nontheless, ET, #12, codeseven are who i am most excited about as well
6/6/2005 1:05:45 PM
I would like to see evergreen and dead poetic but will be on another trip that weekend, sounds like a great lineup though.
6/6/2005 1:16:17 PM
ah that sucks man
6/6/2005 2:50:56 PM
6/6/2005 4:38:03 PM

im not sure man.but on another note i might be hittin up that 15th show hoping fbtmof plays a lot of older stuff
6/7/2005 4:25:21 PM
bttt...anyone going?
7/29/2005 11:29:50 PM
I don't think so....poor promoters.I had thought about going, but I am having trouble justifying 15 bucks for maybe like 3 bands I want to see. Plus no times have been posted, and bands are dropping like crazy.I guess everyone forgot this fest. HAR!
7/30/2005 12:00:30 AM
^^^^yes, the mile after signed to rushmore records which is the new sister label of drive thru. its owned by the same people and everything, they just started a new label to sign more bands and vary their signees. on another note, come see us (evans road) open for the mile after on september 2nd at the brewery!
7/30/2005 12:02:27 AM
yea we dropped this fest too. im in charlotte but didnt really plan on going anyways. the lineup ended up not being as strong and had poor promotion, booking, and management. its a shame.
7/30/2005 12:07:06 AM
I saw something about this in the paper.I was like, "WTF."However, I was entertained by the fact that the kid with the stupid hair thinks everyone at school will have stupid hair by next year. Crazy Christians.
7/30/2005 12:08:38 AM
Could you link to this article, or where is it at?
7/30/2005 1:24:51 AM
so who all is playing?
7/30/2005 9:55:12 AM
info at http://www.scenekidsattack.com/looks pretty horrible minus God Forbid, and i guess Codeseven and Evergreen Terrace are alright...but not worth paying $15...and the show was supposed to be starting at 10:30am. fuck that shit.
7/30/2005 10:40:38 AM
yeah that lineup is fucking terrible now
7/30/2005 12:07:20 PM
I wanted to go for the novelty factor of seeing how many people didn't show up, but that isn't worth 15 bucks. Thus I am still at home on a Saturday. If we could have stripped that show and taken like the 3 good bands playing it, and made it 5 bucks, that would have been awesome.
7/30/2005 1:02:33 PM
the sound in dorton is awful. its too big and solid concrete
7/30/2005 1:18:38 PM
I was confused by the choice of Dorton as well. Did they really think they'd get enough people to need Dorton instead of, say, the Lincoln, which has far better sound and is generally more accessible (for bands and fans)? If they've got enough people, more power to 'em, but I doubt it.People at the flea market are going to be pissed.
7/30/2005 3:01:23 PM
I talked to one of the so called "promoters" and he said they needed 2150 to break even. As of last night they had only sold 700 presale if they were even telling the truth. That is going to be one sad dude financially.
7/30/2005 3:38:38 PM
seneca isnt even playing anymore so im out and so are lots of others im guessing.
7/30/2005 3:57:23 PM
good show...evergreen terrace was worth it alone...the chariot was amazing as usual...the burning season are one of my favorites so it was awesome to see them again...hoods and god forbid threw it down
7/31/2005 1:01:04 AM
im guessing they didntget the 2100 they needed to break even? haha. i heard only 700 tix in presale which was prob about 70% of their sales AT LEAST. because i didnt know one person who was going who didnt order advance tix
7/31/2005 1:11:24 AM
yea there is no way they broke even...i was the only person in the ticket line when i arrived
7/31/2005 1:21:24 AM
hah yea. i dont think i would have gone even if i was in raleigh. maybe. just too much money when i only wanted to see a few bands after the final lineup shakeup
7/31/2005 1:24:26 AM
I wish I could have seen Evergreen Terrace, but I couldn't justify the price.Roughly how many people do you think showed up? How was it set up in there? Details mang!
7/31/2005 10:41:44 AM
im horrible at guessing numbers like that...and with people leaving and coming throughout the day its hard to say how many total. for bands like god forbid, evergreen, hoods and the chariot, the floor was pretty full. for bands like the beautiful mistake and some others, there were probably 20 kids watching. it was sad watching the crowd response for some of these bands. they split the the floor in two halves, with a stage on either end and the sound booth in the middle. it ran smoothly, with a band starting pretty much right after the previous band finished. 25 bands total, first band at 1030AM and the chariot finished at 1030PM. Evergreen was insane, played an encore song, i must see them in a true live setting. all the bands seemed pretty stoked to be there. but with proper promotion this thing could have been HUGE. as expected, there were more than enough teeny boppers...oh and reflux was INSANE[Edited on July 31, 2005 at 1:17 PM. Reason : reflux]
7/31/2005 1:16:25 PM
Codeseven is considered a national act now? God I used to see them all the time in W-S for like $5 a pop with 2 or 3 other bands, then hang out with some of them after the show.
8/1/2005 10:16:43 AM
yea codeseven has been touring the country for a few years now. got a video and such.one of the best shows ive ever been to was years ago. with hopesfall(the ORIGINAL..not the terrible copycat band they are now), between the buried and me, codeseven, Aria(the ORIGINAL..not the terrible copycat band thats off and on together now) and another band i forget at the moment.
