I think it's used more as an expression like "A FUCKING MACHINEGUN" meaning a normal machinegun, not neccesarily one involved with intercourseof course there's not any words in the song so it's all up to interpretation[Edited on May 12, 2005 at 11:47 PM. Dragonfly (http://www.discogs.com/label/Dragonfly+Records) gets very up in arms about using the term "Goa". I suppose the more correct term is psytrance, supposedly goa denotes a more downtempo (Sphongls-ish) sound, while psytrance is supposed to denote the dance side. I don't really worry about which is the politically correct name for a genre, this isn't punk/emo.I consider any of the middle eastern/israel style dance with the long acid and fast and hollow 4 beat kick to be goa/psy.Trance denotes the style of music with a fairly fast 4/4 beat (slower than psy, faster than house), generally with shorter arpeggiated leads. These are some new files that should give you a good idea what sound the genres generally denoteTrancehttp://24.148.193.209/trance/Freefall_feat._Jan_Johnston_-_Skydive_(Original_Mix).mp3Psyhttp://24.148.193.209/goa/Pixel_-_Happy_Lepsia.mp3Goahttp://24.148.193.209/goa/Shpongle_-_Around_the_World_In_A_Tea_Daze.mp3

These rock man. I'm a heavy trance techno listener and your stuff is up there with Doboy and GT. it's got an awesome flow and if you are mixing I havn't heard any bad beat matching. Got any long sets?
5/16/2005 2:58:40 PM
these are pretty much all singles, I haven't mixed any of them, I'm just sharing some of my huge collection of singlesI do my mixes live on the turntables, I think doboy uses a computer, some of the songs he plays are rather hard to get on vinyl and his collection would probably have costed near a few grand. Which it still isn't easy to mix on the computer, but you don't have to deal with the time restrictions of DJ'ing in realtime.I do have a quick mix I didhttp://24.148.193.209/quickmix.mp3Dave Armstrong - Make Your MoveMylo - Drop The PressureNightcrawlers - Push The Feeling OnStoneBridge feat. Therese - Put'em HighIt is a little more true to my beatmatching ability , but I'd say my strongest card in my DJ deck is song selection.Oh, I also gotta plug my original while the subject is on methis is a song I producedhttp://24.148.193.209/Kojak_-_Tell_Me_You_Love_Me_Newer_Mix.mp3[Edited on May 16, 2005 at 7:38 PM. http://24.148.193.209/house/Penny_Foster_-_Alone_Together_(Innervisions_Club_Mix).mp3I really recommend this song, best one I've heard in a while, it's technically house, but like all other Innervisions' songs, it sounds like slower trance.I'd also like to recommend that you listen to Utada's new Exodus '04 remixes, I just got the single:A1 Exodus (JJ Flores Double J Extended Remix) (5:58)A2 Exodus (JJ Flores Dub #1) (5:35)B1 Exodus (Peter Bailey Dub) (8:11)C1 Exodus (Kriya vs Velez Electro House Mix) (7:46)C2 Exodus (Kriya vs Velez Progressive Trance Mix) (6:49)D1 Exodus (JJ Flores Dub #2) (9:04)I had to check it out I absolutely love every JJ Flores Dub and I really like just about every Utada remix, hell if you play many japanese video games or watch any anime you've probably heard her, she's the number one selling artist in Japan (although she's from NY and she's completely unknown here). So anyways, the JJ Flores Dub #2 is the shit, I'll probably rip it when I get time.here's some more Utada songs:http://24.148.193.209/trance/Utada_-_Simple_and_Clean.mp3http://24.148.193.209/trance/Utada_-_Automatic_(Johnny_Vicious_Remix).mp3

Hey you should set this stuff up under an FTP directory for easier access.
5/22/2005 10:54:11 PM
I've thought about that, but I don't really know of any advantages of using FTP over an HTTP directory listing.
5/22/2005 10:57:23 PM
next to jackleg kris is like the coolest user...................
5/23/2005 4:50:41 AM
hey kris not to sound ungreatful since you are letting us get these out of the kindness of your heart but for some reason i can not get over 2 of these downloading at one time and its taking a pretty good whilei was wondering if its possible to put a zip file of all of them in each section and that way if other users find that you have such a great collection as i have can just get the entire thing in one download rather than download after downloadif not thats ok, thanks for it anyways
5/23/2005 5:12:53 AM
Well a benefit of FTP is that you can use a FTP software to schedule the downloads for you. Like ^ said, since you can only get 2 at a time, you have to sit there and click on each download when you want it. I usually like to d/l my music at night, so I could create a transfer list using my FTP software and have it leech all your music while I'm sleeping. With FTP you could also set up an uploads folder and give it public write access so that people can put up their techno that you don't have yet.I can understand if you don't want to do this though, if you have a limited amount of transfers / month or something like that.
5/23/2005 10:20:54 AM
Ok, FTP wins, I wasn't aware of the 2 download limit, I might be able to allow more connections per IP in my settings, but I think I'll just go FTP.I'll have to work on it, I'll publish the FTP address when I'm done, I'm going to try to keep them both going, so the HTTP should stay up.
5/23/2005 12:02:02 PM

FTP is now upI set it up with virtual directories, so I'll only have to put stuff in one directory.ftp://24.148.193.209:21/houseftp://24.148.193.209:21/goa/ftp://24.148.193.209:21/dnb/ftp://24.148.193.209:21/misc/ftp://24.148.193.209:21/trance/also, for a limited time, I'll post the data from the 5gb torrent I downloaded, I'll give a warning before I take it down, I'm in the process of going through it all and sorting it, renaming stuff, and deleting crappy stuff/stuff I already have. This is ftp only, it isn't on the http mirror.ftp://24.148.193.209:21/vinyls[Edited on May 24, 2005 at 8:06 PM. Reason : Let me know if it works ok, I haven't really tested it yet]
