I should start posting pics from the Wednesdays/Weekends here at Phillips Place - it's a quiet weekend when there's only a Porsche Turbo or Ferrari 360 at one of the restaurants near my courtyard..

Saw a bunch of interesting stuff in Florida last week. Late nineties 850i, Ferrari 360 spyder, 996 turbo, and a couple of old street rods in Clearwater, another couple turbo Porsches in Tampa, a Corvette Gran Sport, a Bentley Arnage and an old Lamborghini Espada on I-4, a Prowler at our hotel in Oldsmar, and probably some stuff I'm forgetting...

SL55 AMG in Cameron Village last Wednesday
not the most exotic car in the world, but certainly not cheap or common either

Spotted this on the Autostrade between Rome and Pompeii on Friday of last week.

Me: In a ford focus diesel station wagon doing 95.
Ferrari: About 160 mph.

He passed me and got stuck behind a slow moving car, went for the downshift and I saw the hottest blue flames come out of the exhaust tips.

Almost spooged my pants.

Also over there saw a V12 Vanquish, Murciealago[sic] and a testarossa, a shit ton of Cayenne Turbos, a few Porsche turbo's as well.

Oh yeah and coming back from Pompeii on the SS-6 saw this:

It was a while ago, but the most exotic cars I've seen were in Truett Kathy's personal collection. He's the founder of Chic-Fil-A and has quite a few cars, around 90 I believe. Most of them are pre-1960 American cars, not really my thing, but he had some cool new cars too. I got to sit in an 80's Ferrari (gotta love the gated shifter) and a Delorean. Delorean is a weird ass car, that's for sure. Oh, and he also has the Batmobile from Batman Returns, kinda cool.

Saw a black Lotus Esprit v8 on glenwood ave saturday. Then on Sunday i passed a silver Aston Martin DB5.
Holy crap it was nice. almost had to change pants.

I've also seen most of these: http://www.ingramcollection.com They're all uber-nice with extremely low miles. I believe he has some ferraris and other exotics as well.

Most of his collection gets serviced where I work. He just bought a silver/blue '89 Speedster with 262 original miles and not a mark on it. Supposedly the last 'brand new' 1989 Speedster in the world. He has pretty much every signifigant model of Porsche made in the last half century. Last time I checked his site needed about 4 or 5 cars' worth of updating.

My girlfriend's sister works for th guy who owns these cars. His name is Waren Mosler and influnces our economy more than Alan Greenspan. Anyway I have been in a few of his cars and they are absolutely amazing but since I am not all into cars I am not sure how bad ass they really are.

^Moslers are badass, but they sure are ugly! At least the old school ones are.

A few times a week, when driving to work on US1 I usually see an Aston Martin DB9 or Bently GT Coupe heading north as I travel south. I think they belong to the same guy, b/c I never see them both on the same day.

And SL55s aren't commonplace, maybe you see a lot of SL500s. They only import about 1000 or so a year for the whole US.

The Mercedes CLS is turning into the dime a dozen rich old mans wife car down here it seems. Seen about a dozen of them already - only one in black - and that was the only one that didn't look somehow feminine.
