You asshole. Buying a mac does not signify an attempt to be cool.

Powerbook as-of this morning. The photo for my background was taken by "Superketch" on Flickr with a Nikon D70. Simply amazing photography. My background changes a lot thanks to Flickr.

For those who are interested in my desktop overlay, here is some info (just copied from a PM I sent):

It's a program called Samurize, link: http://www.samurize.com. For the motherboard and CPU temp/fan stats, you'll need Motherboard Monitor, link: http://mbm.livewiredev.com. The weather and calender are plugins for Samurize you can get off the Samurize website. You have to make your own config file (recommended), or download one of the one's on the Samurize website. The information part of the config (network stats, website stats, song info, motherboard info, etc) I had to make myself as part of the Samurize config file. You can then integrate the other plugins within the config file. Now, the website stats part was a bit tricky, as I had to use PHP and Perl on my own webserver and on the local computer in order to get it to work properly. If you need any further help, just PM me.

^^ Along those lines, another program to check out is Konfabulator. It's not free (costs $30 I believe) but you can forego all of those configuration steps, as everything is drag and drop. I'm not saying it's better, but just an alternative... much easier but also costs money.

[Unrelated to above, but back to thread topic]
Here's my desktop currently.

Thats what I have, downloaded it from their website, but it apparently doesnt do anything if you never buy it.

I actually downloaded that pic from a specialty widescreen backgrounds site.

My monitors are all set to the same resolution, 1280 x 1024.

I've got a Sun 20", a NEC 19" and a Philips 17".

I'd be running them all at 1600x1200 if it were possible on that 17"
