while i believe the calander is a great tool and resource, i feel events should still be alloud to be posted in the lounge. i mean... maybe not if every day someones like "today is blah drink special at blah" but i know in the past when we played with loman at the brewery, having a post about it got a LOT more interest and informed a lot more people than merely having it on the calender and it helped us both out a lot.

what do you think?

id rather have it entered into the calendar and a post with a link or copy of it

While I'm not sure, but I imagine if you post it on the calendar first your thread might live.

Or you could start a thread stating your playing soon and to check the calendar...
