some of you guys know nothing about investing...if you can AT LEAST match the SP500 the past year, then you know a little bit of something, until then, dont say anything. i'll personally be glad to give away any of my investing secrets...chad, something you obviously dont know...it doesnt hurt you to give away your little secret...stock prices are based on demand...the more people want to buy them, the higher the price goes... i dont see how you can even spend weeks researching 1 stock...it takes about 30 mins tops. if youre looking for a company that will grow and blow up over time...look at smallcaps and their financials for the past 3 years...look at some percentage growth in income, cashflow. and look at the percentage of inside ownership.
its really pretty easy. dont worry if the price looks too high if the financials are good.
go get a book called "the motley fool investment guide" those guys are freaking geniuses
my pick for the week.

SCSC - scansource out of greenville SC. excellent numbers through last year, and reported its quarterly earnings thurs AFTER market closed...great time to buy because people are dumbasses and dumped the stock thursday because of the shitty earnings reported by HP (people think if 1 tech stock stumbles, they all will)
