The search doesn't return any names that are set in the user brackets. Would it be possible to change the code so that it parses out the tags?

He means during a post search, not during a user search.

It worked when I just ran my name.

It doesn't find susie Q, just susie q

Maybe we aren't talking about the same thing. When I go to Message Boards and then Search, then put "susie" in the Keywords field, I get all the posts that say "susie," including the ones where my username is in user tags.Sorry for the run-on sentence.

Odd. that may be because your name is a two part name separated by a space. and so the susie gets picked up. if you put in "susie q" does it do the same?

I just ran "susie" and "susie q," and as far as I can tell it got the same results. The only thing amiss is that when I run "susie" as a keyword, there are 20 pages of posts. When I run "susie q", there are 21 pages, and this thread also didn't show up on the results of either search.[Edited on September 5, 2003 at 1:56 PM. Reason : ...]

Hmmit almost seems hit or miss. I know i've been in the spottings thread recently, but always in user tags...but those arent returned in a search for keyword "bunnicula"

also, the database that the search function runs on is only refreshed every 14 days IIRC
