I know this has been brought up, but I tried to bring the item to the top and it won't let me because it has been idle too long. So here goes...

It would be nice if ther was an option for the person who posted a classifieds thread to delete it, or maybe flag the ad with something, after the item has been sold/acquired.

This is the stupidest thing ever. It doesn't mean people take things too seriously. Let's say, for instance, you went to NCSU's homepage and clicked on "For Students". Now, let's say that link took you to a lesbian porn page. While, this would be nice in some aspects, I'm sure some people would email the school and let them know of their blunder. Does this mean they are taking things too seriously?? No, of course not. It simply means that A.) The website has an intended purpose and B.) The website is not fulfilling its intended purpose.

TWW has many intended purposes, one of them being a classifieds section. PackPrincess was simply suggesting a helpful improvement to the administrators.... it doesn't at all mean she takes the site too seriously. If anything, I think people like you take your mission of trying to piss on other people's good ideas too seriously.
