I was really not looking forward to them dragging out the claimers/rick conflict, glad it was over quick. Now im just hoping they dont try to drag out some kind of tension between rick and abraham, I hope they become fast killing buddies
3/31/2014 11:11:13 PM
I just hope they continue making a show that I enjoy watching, which they have done so far.
4/1/2014 7:41:54 AM
LudaChris nailed it. They're not only fattening them up, they're turning them into veal. Dark room+powdered milk= delicious veal. It's exactly what they do to calves
4/1/2014 8:21:37 AM
I disagree with the Termites sticking them all in one car together, but I do get why they're storing their food in bins/boxes.It's not like they're just going to kill them on the spot, they can't really "keep" the meat since there is no electricity and no freezers. Much easier to just keep your food supply locked up and well fed until you're ready to eat them.I'd even go farther and suggest, why kill the person entirely at one time and then have to use up all the meat in one swoop? Would be much easier to just lop off limbs and use tourniquets to stop the bleeding(like they did with Hershel's leg) and make your supply last longer.Next season could be good, just hope they don't spend the first 2-3 episodes in the box going through nothing but flashbacks.

why is everyone saying terminus is full of cannibals? was it explicitly revealed in the finale? i mean, i see them grilling meat and a room full of bones, but my first thought wasn't cannibals.
4/1/2014 12:37:20 PM
^because the writers have given all kinds of clues that point to cannibalism, from the first encounter with terminus: nobody around, lots of meat on the grill and mary saying "we'll make you a plate". skulls and bones. "Never trust; Never again; We first, always", locking glen and crew away in the train. then locking rick and crew. packages of condensed milk at the train car.what was your first thought?[Edited on April 1, 2014 at 12:48 PM. Keeping people in boxes(there are more people screaming for help while Rick and Co are running through the maze). They don't identify them by name(going back to what Rick told Khorl about the pigs). There is a pile of human bones in a big pile in the one room. They have big hunks of meat yet no livestock anywhere to be seen(so far).Boxes of condensed milk outside of the train car(known to be use to fatten up livestock).Phrasings: "The more people become a part of us, we get stronger."Hunter and the snare analogy earlier in the episode. They're either going for a huge misdirection or they're cannibals. Also seems the video game and comics both had a spin on cannibals and most believe this will be the TV shows take on it.[Edited on April 1, 2014 at 12:51 PM. Reason : .]

^all these things were from the finale. the cannibalism theory was floating around here long before. i'm assuming its part of the comics? spoilers definitely aren't rare itt...maybe its because i've become accustomed to shutting my brain off when watching this show, but i certainly didn't pick up on the dialogue hints. as for the bones, i just assumed they were nuts, or cultists or something. but i guess i just don't think of cannibalism when i see bones. the governor kept heads, maybe these ppl keep bones? and i certainly wasn't aware that condensed milk was used to fatten livestock.[Edited on April 1, 2014 at 1:12 PM. ^sonething about the empty courtyard and the look of Mary at the end of the 2nd to last episode just made me think of cannibalism. All she does is grill meat.
4/1/2014 1:26:13 PM
^^The lady grilling the meat with no livestock in sight was from the 2nd to last episode, think that's where a lot of the speculation began. That partnered with people reading the comic kinda stoking the fires speculating that this will be the TV Shows take on a particular storyline. It's not really "spoilers" because it's a guess(none of the names are the same or the setup) but the meat scene from the 2nd to last episode definitely ignited a lot of it.
4/1/2014 1:47:41 PM
Yep. I believe the second to last episode (first time we actually see terminus and Mary grilling) was the first mention of cannibalism that I can recall.
4/1/2014 2:55:10 PM
and there's going to be cannibals in the apocalypse, of course.
4/1/2014 3:01:43 PM
if they aren't cannibals ill eat a hatful of assholes
4/1/2014 4:06:41 PM
rick's already figured it out
4/1/2014 4:07:35 PM
someone is grilling meat but there aren't cows next to the grill? must be cannibals.
4/1/2014 5:07:59 PM
com on man. it's the apocalypse. they really haven't shown any livestock, anywhere. there aren't grocery stores. there's lots of meat on the grill. the writers intentionally inferred cannibalism. if you missed it, you're just not very perceptive.
4/1/2014 5:10:29 PM
for real, even if they turn out not to be cannibals (unlikely), the writers certainly wanted us to think they were, the clues are everywhere
4/1/2014 6:06:55 PM
Yeah the cannibals implication isn't subtle. Even the name terminus implies this.
4/1/2014 6:36:05 PM
people reading the comics were definitely dropping cannibal hints after the 2nd to last episode. it was obvious in the last episode, but i don't think most people would have caught on in the 2nd to last episode without hints from comic readers or having read the comics themselves.
4/1/2014 7:30:55 PM
^nonsense. I didn't read this thread and thought cannibals immediately. This is not a smart show.
4/1/2014 7:34:37 PM
Was it just my TV or was the claimers scene incredibly dark? I couldn't hardly tell what was going on.I really like this whole cannibal story line, I wish it they had cut the episodes leading up to it in half so we could spend more time on it. I was getting so annoyed in the finale with the flashbacks, I don't care about that, I wanted to see them progress the story.
4/1/2014 8:14:16 PM
it looks like next season might make you lose your shitso, I hope youre wearing your shitting pants
4/1/2014 9:40:04 PM
^^don't worry, i'm sure they will drag it out as long as they can, that's what a melodrama doesI think this series needs a scene of badassery, whereby rick and co. go on a massive purge, killing all fucks in the vicinity, undead or not.
4/1/2014 10:34:38 PM
Don't count on Carol saving them, her orange backpack was in terminus and I think that the powdered milk on the ground next to the train car was for baby Judith.
4/2/2014 9:02:28 AM
^ummm, the orange backpack was Glenn's.
4/2/2014 9:04:09 AM
I didn't read this thread and immediately thought cannibals in the second to last episode. This isn't difficult stuff
4/2/2014 9:39:47 AM
4/2/2014 11:26:13 AM
Tyreese and Morgan are going to come in and kill everyone, and save the daycause if there's one thing black guys are better at, its killing people
4/2/2014 12:15:44 PM
in this series, they're pretty good at getting killed
4/2/2014 12:20:38 PM
yeah, one of them will die in the process of course
4/2/2014 12:28:52 PM
In the preview for the last episode wasn't there a quick clip of Rick in a pillory? I didn't see that anywhere in the episode. I'm out of town so I can't rewatch it.

Season 5 trailer released:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4GAs9TJVjM&feature=player_embedded&list=PLP63B9XPsQt0KiUz3ffyiS1tpDywWraPFLooks like they spend most of their time in Terminus.
7/25/2014 9:04:49 PM
At the very end when Rick is shooting and turns around, was he shooting at people or zombies? It looks like they are holding guns.
7/25/2014 9:48:04 PM
^^no it doesnt
7/25/2014 11:02:46 PM
Do we still not know where Beth was after that car took her? Only shows her at the very endAlso, just because it's only been posted twice in the thread and hasn't been embedded:I like Shane's head rubbing
7/26/2014 4:44:45 PM
^^I guarantee you they'll spend at least 4-5 episodes on Terminus. Then it looks like the Terminus people are going to be with them for most of the rest of the season once they set out for DC.
7/26/2014 9:12:12 PM
Does the trailer say when the show comes back?
8/14/2014 8:10:03 AM
Believe it's Oct. 12th.
8/14/2014 9:41:54 AM
Yes, it's Sunday, October 12th. The same Sunday, October 12 that happens to coincide with my 1 year wedding anniversary. [Edited on August 14, 2014 at 9:28 PM. Reason : .]

I hope this season wasnt like last.....i think i may have watched about 1-2 episodes worth of the show with fast forwarding accounting for the rest.
8/24/2014 12:36:31 PM
Anson Mount from Hell on Wheels would've made a much better lead. At least he's actually southern.
9/2/2014 4:48:43 PM
is the new zombie show on SyFy worth watching?
9/17/2014 12:17:29 PM
It's not anything like walking dead. It is completely over the top, a little slapsticky, lower budget, worse acting, and full of cliched characters, but having said that, they kind of embrace all those aspects and I actually found the first episode kind of fun to watch. There is one scene towards the end of the premiere that was so hilariously ridiculous that it made the whole show for me.[Edited on September 17, 2014 at 12:35 PM. Reason : $$$]
