I just got the BeBot app. Its a great little synthesizer for any of you musical ppl out there. I'm gonna record it into a song.
7/3/2009 11:48:09 PM
Columns freaking blows.
7/4/2009 12:30:46 AM
I just tried to dl it. On one screen it says it's free..the other says $1.99. Tried to dl and it says "this item is currently being modified, try again later"
7/4/2009 12:40:54 AM
Yeah, that's what it does for me too. Oh well. All the reviews say it sucks anyway.
7/4/2009 12:47:02 AM
Columns is finally free. And less than stellar. But free.
7/4/2009 3:04:06 AM
Spotlight doesn't find apps you've got hidden away in categories.

i'm sure it's been said already, but that ad touting voice control is fucking hilarious. what gets me is how many people probably have no fucking idea that other phones have been doing that for years now.
7/5/2009 12:12:27 PM
Yeah, it's funny. Making a feature usable by the masses is worth billions. There were tons of mp3 players out there before the ipod, but here we are. haha, i found a pict:This shitbox was playing tons of mp3s before the ipod, but only a complete dork would ever get one of these.
7/5/2009 12:31:21 PM
^ looking back, it's amazing that Creative and Sonic Blue (and all the other companies) stuck with their crappy designs so long, and it took Apple to swoop in and fix things. Same with the smart phone realm too.
7/5/2009 12:43:20 PM
i had an archos jukebox...it was awesome
7/5/2009 12:47:11 PM
Always thought the Archos players seemed pretty cool in terms of features (though not design)but now it looks like they've gone to straight iPod ripoffs:http://www.archos.com/products/mp3_players/index.html?country=us&lang=en[Edited on July 5, 2009 at 12:51 PM. Reason : ]

haha, i had one of those archos things too. still have it actually
7/5/2009 1:26:13 PM
Found this program in cydia called spotbright which alters spotlight to be able to find apps if they're in categories or otherwise hidden. It also lists icons of the last 10 programs you've ran, which is a nice feature as well.]
7/5/2009 2:45:52 PM

Get the Pdanet application off of Cydia. It allows you to tether your macbook wirelessly or pc laptop with your usb cable and use the 3G and edge network on the laptop for free highspeed internet wherever you go. http://www.junefabrics.com/iphone/index.php
7/5/2009 5:23:06 PM
hey dumbassyou can do that already. tethering is built into 3.0
7/5/2009 5:27:05 PM
I cant find a yellowsn0w download...
7/5/2009 6:06:52 PM
I was kidding..I used redsn0w actually (in windows)
7/5/2009 6:10:26 PM
haha i used redsn0w and tried restoring my phone with the custom firmware but it wouldn't let me select it on my mac
7/5/2009 6:15:31 PM
oh, boo. it worked great on mine and really fast.
7/5/2009 6:17:11 PM
nevermind I just did a search and on mac's it's option + restore! doing it right now
7/5/2009 6:18:13 PM

I picked up a 3GS last Monday. Overall I'm pleased but it's pretty dissapointing that I can either sync with my google contacts and calendars OR the exchange server at work. I'm a little surprised how fast Internet usage drains the battery. At the beach this weekend I could only get EDGE, if the Internet was that slow all the time I would have taken this thing back immediately. Also I've got one pixel stuck on green, anyone know if the apple store will still exchange them over a single bad pixel?
7/6/2009 4:43:00 PM
Slugger is awesome, also has the best online gameplay I've seen so far. Here is the itunes store link:http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=313833267&mt=8Add me as a rival if you want: mikeb3408

it went well no issues..now if I can remember all the applications I had downloaded on cydia....haha any suggestions?
7/6/2009 6:48:57 PM
winterboardthe 5 icon dock thingsbsettings..that's really all i use
7/6/2009 6:57:18 PM
ok i downloaded the aqua filvor theme and all the icons switched except for messages...why??
7/6/2009 7:37:10 PM
perhaps because of the new name? it used to be sms and is now messages. maybe the theme didnt know what icon to change or something.[Edited on July 6, 2009 at 7:42 PM. Reason : just noticed mine did the same thing on a few themes]
7/6/2009 7:41:55 PM
AHH gotcha i was wondering why..can i change it?
7/6/2009 7:50:11 PM
You can change it. I think you have to install OpenSSH and then log into the phone and change the name from 'messages' back to text or something like that. I read something about it on a blog somewhere, but winterboard doesn't work on the 3GS's yet, so I haven't done it myself.[Edited on July 6, 2009 at 7:56 PM. Reason : ssh into the Library/Themes/nameoftheme.theme/Icon folder and change Messages to Text, or vice versa]
7/6/2009 7:52:02 PM
I have never gotten ssh to work on my mac for some reason (my floor needs a password to sign on to the wifi so im not sure if that screws it up)so I use diskaid to connect to my compokay this sucks! aqua flivor isn't showing up in diskaid..everything else does![Edited on July 6, 2009 at 9:10 PM. Redsn0w 0.8 was released about 30 minutes ago. It works on the 3GS now too. I re-jailbroke mine and now Winterboard works perfectly. woot!
7/7/2009 8:20:57 AM
Well, as it turns out, winterboard was updated this morning to work with the 3GS. Looks like Redsn0w had nothing to do with it. Oh well.
7/7/2009 9:33:29 AM
ScHpEnXeL, you still liking those S9s? I'm looking at getting a pair on Amazon. How's the battery life?also, for the jailbreaking folks, how does doing Apple updates work with a jailbroken phone, pretty painless?
7/7/2009 6:31:22 PM
7/7/2009 7:57:46 PM
You can still update from Apple when they release a new firmware, you just lose out on most of the advantages of having a jailbroken phone. Basically when Apple released an update you have a period of 3-4 days where you have to choose between having the latest and greatest from Apple, or a jailbroken phone. A lot of people go ahead and update when Apple releases a new firmware knowing that they'll be able to jailbreak in a couple of days but still getting to try out any new features that might be added. It's all personal preference.
