There many different incarnations of "classy." And "classy" is easy when it comes to fashion. But once you reach a certain level, it's more about being original, developing your own eye, without making any fantastic blunders. Jackie O. isn't just "classy." She's an icon.Back to Michelle Obama...in my opinion, she's one of the best dressed first ladies in ages because she (1) broke out of the suit and (2) doesn't camouflage her body. It seems easy enough, but those two things are actually strong statements that many women would not be self-assured enough to make. And, roddy, everybody shops at Target. Some more pictures:This is the "hippest" I've ever seen her, and I would describe it as stylish, not hip:This is the only thing I thought missed the mark, but I've read people say it was great:[Edited on November 11, 2008 at 4:30 AM. Eh, I'm sure he was a Muslim when he was a young kid. His father was a Muslim, his step-father was a Muslim, his mom was batshit crazy, and he lived in Indonesia where he attended a Muslim school. I'm sure if you jumped in a time machine and saw him in Indonesia at that point in his life, you would call him Muslim. Now, of course he was a young boy and his religion was dictated by his parents, but it isn't wrong to say that at some point he was a Muslim and is now a Christian.

^^ Obama never actually attended a "muslim school." He attended a Catholic school, then an Indonesian Public School (that was titled a Public School). The whole madrassa thing was errant reporting by Fox and others. He lived in Indonesia with his step-father who was a muslim, but this was when he went to the Catholic school, then the Indoesian Public school. Unless you just assumed he was like most other Indonesians, there's no other particular reason to assume he was a muslim. His mom was either an atheist or agnostic (or "secular humanist").In any case, that still leaves 43% of McCain voters thinking he has "too many" connections to muslims. So 43% of McCain voters are completely retarded.[Edited on November 11, 2008 at 11:03 PM. yeah.... have to agree w/ ^^while I do think the abortion issue is overblown in Presidential elections, at least the President has an indirect say on abortion, insomuch as he appoints/nominates Supreme Court justices, who at the moment are the only way Roe v. Wade could possibly be overturned. Congress doesn't really have jack-shit to say or do with abortion, except for the potential to block supreme court justices they may disagree with. Senators and Representatives running on pro or anti-abortion platforms are being disingenuous with their constituents w/r/t the powers that they will hold when elected to office. (on a side note - when visiting my grandma in FLorida before the election, there was a local TV ad for the county sheriff who said "and I will ensure that marriage stays only between one man and one woman", and my reaction was "ok, as county sheriff, you plan on ensuring this how.....?")Even with 6 years of Republican Legislative and Executive rule, it's still up to individual Supreme Court Justices to retire whenever they want, so therefore, not many of the more liberal judges were likely to retire while a Republican was in office. And those justices who were replaced still faced the possibility of filibuster by the minority, so a blatantly anti-abortion justice would still not be appointed even with full Republican rule.[Edited on November 12, 2008 at 12:32 AM.
