cmon page 100btw, http://www.mininova.org/get/319922 is hour #1 of the finale

I'm not trying to be a dick, I swear, but they've had conversations about the washer and dryer on the show.Hurley and Libby talked about it. And then Libby started flirting with Hurley. Maybe I just remember that because it's when I first realized she was either crazy or evil.
5/25/2006 12:06:29 AM
Well if it helps, I don't remember seeing them before. Nor did I even recognize the irregular timeline of the technology due to everything else going on.
5/25/2006 12:07:45 AM
yeah i totally remember the hurley/libby conversation about the washer and dryerthat was the genesis of their romance
5/25/2006 12:09:01 AM
5/25/2006 12:10:58 AM
hahthis entire show is one everlong loose endyou're kidding yourself if you think otherwise
5/25/2006 12:11:38 AM
If a show doesn't absolutely explain anything it makes my brain hurt and that makes me sad.
5/25/2006 12:11:44 AM
I thought the polar bears were there because they thought it was the North Pole or whatever due to the askew electromagnetic fields
5/25/2006 12:12:02 AM
oh i forgot about the god damn polar bearsat this rate the show is gonna last 10 more seasons[Edited on May 25, 2006 at 12:12 AM. Reason : ^AHAHAHA WHAT? THEY FUCKING SWAM THERE? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHHAHAAAHAHAHA]
5/25/2006 12:12:17 AM
i always assumed walt made the polar bears appear, but they never explain what makes him special
5/25/2006 12:13:39 AM
and walt's powers were some sort of electromagnetic hologram, speaking backwards as a mirror image, all that jazz.
5/25/2006 12:13:49 AM
i think he just "predicted" their appearancei don't think he "caused" it
5/25/2006 12:14:13 AM
Didn't know polar bears could swim? Rare little factoid for ya.
5/25/2006 12:14:40 AM
walt reads a book about birds, a bird flies into the window. he reads a comic about polar bears, they appear on the island.
5/25/2006 12:16:45 AM
The polar bears were brought to the island by Dharma for experiments. And, as has been said many many times, there is a five season story arc that was originally planned. Whether it exceeds that or not, that is how the original story outline was structured.
5/25/2006 12:17:18 AM
Couldn't that be the whole "collective consciousness" theory
5/25/2006 12:18:07 AM
black smoke monster?libby in the psyche ward?walt's powers?polar bears/shark?the numbers?why the map?four toed statuewhy the costumes?connection between windmore labs/dharma
5/25/2006 12:18:22 AM
^^^Yeah, sorry, we haven't all read the full 98 pages of yip yap this season.[Edited on May 25, 2006 at 12:19 AM. Reason : ^]
5/25/2006 12:19:26 AM
what if it isn't really an island, but rather a huge giant fucking peninsula
5/25/2006 12:21:00 AM
shaped like a penis?
5/25/2006 12:21:30 AM
it's Oahu...so it's an island
5/25/2006 12:24:26 AM
5/25/2006 12:24:27 AM
i think they let the numbers count down so the magnet attracts new washers and appliances for them every couple years. duh
5/25/2006 12:29:53 AM
Hahahahahahahahaha
5/25/2006 12:31:21 AM
sounds like a good plan
5/25/2006 12:33:02 AM
so why did the hatch lid go flying far away? did locke, echo, and desmond survive? any thoughts?
5/25/2006 12:46:16 AM
i thought desmond reversed the polarity, so that's why the hatch flew off.
5/25/2006 1:03:48 AM
eitherit explodedor desmond reversed the polarity of the magnet repelling everything instead of attracting everythingi like the second choice
5/25/2006 1:04:51 AM
i do too. that could explain why charlie said "nothing happened", and how he survived, and it lets me believe that locke and eko are still alive also.and maybe desmond, too.
5/25/2006 1:06:16 AM
the orientation videos were copyrighted in 1980. it would be safe to assume the hatches are around that age.Pearl stationSwan stationI'm not quite sure why the magnet is strong enough to break the plane in half but not strong enough to screw up the picture on the monitor, pull the monitor off the desk, or erase all the spools of tape (well, I guess we actually haven't seen evidence of anything on those spools...).Or why Desmond couldn't type the numbers in after Locke busted the monitor. "OMG I can't see the cursor, I'll have to blow the whole joint!"Or if it was the magnet that caused the plane to break in half, then why didn't it rip the guns out of the others' hands when it turned on for the 2nd time?[Edited on May 25, 2006 at 1:12 AM. 5/25/2006 1:09:35 AM
^nice observationso I guess the hatches are around 25 years old
5/25/2006 1:12:14 AM
Perhaps the strongest part of the magnet is directed upward...so it could influence the plane but only have minimal influence at ground level...
5/25/2006 1:15:37 AM
5/25/2006 1:21:01 AM
I think the reason he couldn't just type in the numbers was because not only did Locke destroy the screen, but it looked like an old Apple which means the CPU was attached to the monitor. If the CPU was busted then typing on the keyboard would do nothing. And I think the reversing of polarity is the more likely case. Locke and Ecko don't die, Michael and Walt likely won't get away now, plus I'm sure it'll have other effects.I wonder if the curing it did will reverse it's effect? Such as, Locke no longer being able to walk, black lady's cancer coming out of remission, etc.
5/25/2006 2:19:57 AM
OK, but what about the giant statue foot with only 4 toes!?
5/25/2006 5:35:19 AM
5/25/2006 6:41:12 AM
Clancy Brown was the actor that played both Kate's dad and Desmond's partner in the hatch....HOWEVER...Kate's Dad is named Joe Inman.Desmond's partner is named Kelvin Inman.Same person, different name? Twin brothers?
5/25/2006 8:50:22 AM
5/25/2006 8:57:52 AM
in sayid's flashback he showed a picture of his daughter...as they were riding in the convoy...and everyone on here said it was kate... so....who is right?
5/25/2006 9:00:23 AM
yeahthere was shawshank guard (clancy brown), kate's "dad" (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0320163/), and sayid in the truck. it isn't kate's real dad though ("what kate did")clancy brown--desmond's hatchmate--was simply this renegade military unit commander who gave a deal to sayidkate's "dad" was only in that episode to be coincidental[Edited on May 25, 2006 at 9:04 AM. 5/25/2006 9:01:58 AM
5/25/2006 9:12:42 AM
^^ Right. How in the world are people mistaking Kelvin for Kate's dad? They look nothing alike (other than being older white guys), and appeared in a scene side by side.

ANYONE PICK UP ON THE OFF COLOR LETTERS ON THE http://WWW.HANSOCAREERS.COM WEBSITE? THEY ARE: NSLUTMIEMAYA, IN THAT ORDER. I DON'T THINK I'VE MISSED ANY. POSSIBLE ANAGRAMS? IF YOU TAKE NAMASTE OUT, WHICH IS THE LAST WORD ON THEIR GREETING (I THINK IT MEANS TO BOW ONES HEAD AS TO A SENSI) YOU ARE LEFT WITH LUMIY. DOES THIS MEAN ANYTHING TO ANYONE?

NSLUTMIEMAYA = Asylum Inmate
5/25/2006 9:41:11 AM
In sayid's flashback, before they dropped him off in the middle of the desert, it showed clancy brown riding across from sayid in the truck. sayid asked him if he had a child and he said yes and was looking at a photograph.... then it showed a little girl and everyone on here said it was kate. am i right?
5/25/2006 9:45:09 AM
no, while they were riding sayid was talking to kate's dad, not clancy brownput it to a rest peeps
5/25/2006 9:46:24 AM
While watching the episode, I started thinking about what role Libby had in this whole thing. She was seen in Hurley's back-story and now in setting Desmond up with a boat that eventually would get him there. Fate or did she scout out people that were going to the island? She said her husband's name was David, can anyone think of anyone on the show that goes by that name?
5/25/2006 9:47:03 AM
OK..he was talking to the other old army guy. it has been so long, i just remember clancy brown from that episode and him riding in the truck and thought it was him with the photograph. thanks for clarifying, sorry about that
5/25/2006 9:47:52 AM
what was hurley's imaginary friend's name?
