This poor bastard seems like a very nice guy... was just married to a treacherous whore.
4/26/2011 9:44:16 AM
Boz is being somewhat not as douchey so far today.
4/26/2011 9:48:00 AM
I was semi-surprised he was doing the cross-ex for a civilian. They usually only let him douche it up with the experts.
4/26/2011 9:49:39 AM
This should be good. this is the guy that got drunk and slept with NC. I think.
4/26/2011 9:55:56 AM
Hmmm... If I were the defense I wouldn't think bringing up Nancy's infidelity would be a good idea. It just establishes motive for Brad.[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 10:06 AM. Reason : -]
4/26/2011 10:05:51 AM
you need to do it some to make brad a likable guy
4/26/2011 10:10:09 AM
I'm pretty sure they're going to show how this guy comforted brad after Nancy was found dead.^that tooAlso the prosecution are a bunch of crybabies[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 10:10 AM. Reason : "I had 6 months to do so" wahhhh]
4/26/2011 10:10:24 AM
That'd be hilarious if the defense tried to pull the same bullshit the prosecution did with the brad cooper deposition and include redacted portions.
4/26/2011 10:11:36 AM
And I loved the response "I'll play the whole thing if you want."
4/26/2011 10:14:43 AM
well crap. An hr long break. Now what am I supposed to do?
4/26/2011 10:17:16 AM
^6 I think the defense needs to bring up the fact the NC slept around to show that other people had motive and cast suspicion on the wives and lovers. Also why was she so upset about brad sleeping around, but all along she's gettin it in. Hell this guy on the stand could be the father of one of her kids. and another guy almost gave her a VDafter all he had one affair and she slept with 8 or 9 guys (allegedly). Damn i need to stop watching this shit.[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 10:28 AM. Reason : f]
4/26/2011 10:28:05 AM
^ at last count it was 9 dudes while she was married, plus her sister's boyfriend at the time (who is now her sister's husband); for a total of 10 dudes gettin to bang it out while she was with Brad.
4/26/2011 10:44:05 AM
I hope they call the sister's husband to the stand. That is some good drama.
4/26/2011 10:48:15 AM
OH WE BACK
4/26/2011 11:23:10 AM
damn I was jammin to some Three 6 Mafia...This should be interesting tho
4/26/2011 11:26:34 AM
is that what you were listening to diva?LOLZZZZZZ
4/26/2011 11:30:43 AM
4/26/2011 11:31:24 AM
haha... just mentioned my cousin vinny
i love how this thread is the first google result when searching "Nancy Cooper Whore"
4/26/2011 11:35:19 AM
wow... sounds like the defense actually got a win from the judge for once.
4/26/2011 11:36:09 AM
can anyone relink? the last page link did not work.
4/26/2011 11:38:03 AM
Just go to wral.com or abc11.com
4/26/2011 11:39:42 AM
I'm not so sure the "his wife was fucking half of Cary" defense is a good one when trying to get your client acquitted of murder.
4/26/2011 11:40:00 AM
http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/livenow?id=8020507
4/26/2011 11:40:22 AM
Nancy Cooper was not bwning half of Cary. There are maybe 3-4 other males who she may have slept with during her relationship with Brad that are persons of interest here.[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 11:43 AM. Reason : Basic reasonable doubt.]
4/26/2011 11:43:31 AM
and the important point for the defense is that the investigators failed to follow up on them, not that she slept with 9 other guys as an excuse or something.
4/26/2011 11:47:05 AM
I don't know that it hurts. I mean, Brad basically took his wife whoring it up in stride throughout the marriage. It doesn't make sense that he would wait through all of it and then finally get fed up during the divorce.
4/26/2011 11:47:35 AM
4/26/2011 11:51:10 AM
maybe I'm being too harsh in my overall perception of the public, but sometimes I feel like half of the words spoken in the courtroom are too big for the jury.
4/26/2011 11:51:29 AM
4/26/2011 11:53:05 AM
what did homeboy say that they want to impeach?
4/26/2011 11:53:54 AM
Bobby I agreeNot ever going to court but for traffic ticket reasons, these words throw me off at times. I hope they give the jury a list of "legal terms" to study up on.
4/26/2011 11:55:48 AM
oh shit, he said he wanted to meet on the stand... but the interview, he said she wanted to meet.^like what words... ?[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 11:57 AM. Reason : .]
4/26/2011 11:56:07 AM
Who's talking right now? I think my audio/video is all out of sync. I'm seeing everyone just sitting around playing on computers, but I'm hearing questioning going on.Anyone else having this problem?
4/26/2011 12:01:30 PM
i think they are playing a deposition
4/26/2011 12:02:17 PM
They're listening to a taped recording between the witness on the stand and the detective.
4/26/2011 12:02:34 PM
Ah, gotcha. Alrighty, thanks
4/26/2011 12:04:00 PM
puck_itIts just the fact that I'm not used to hearing the words all the time (i.e. sustained, overruled) and it takes a moment for me to go OH YEA THAT MEANS HE CAN'T TALK.impeach definitely threw me off
4/26/2011 12:07:49 PM
um.... really?
4/26/2011 12:08:44 PM
@ puck_it There's nothing that's overly complex for those of us who are college educated, but I would bet that few of the jurors are college educated. The judge turned to the jury and explained that the recorded testimony was for the purpose of impeachment or corroboration of current testimony with previous testimony. I figure that type of statement is over the heads of your average uneducated citizen.[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 12:10 PM. Reason : .]
4/26/2011 12:10:05 PM
^fair enough... this is why i asked though... i know a lot of random shit, and know what a lot of words are. i may not use them, but i dont think twice when i hear themim surprised they didnt define an alienation of affection suit... i know what it is, but it's not that common. (basically the non cheater, sues the person that bwned their significant other, saying they did it intentionally to break them up... its seldom that they're won).[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 12:12 PM. Reason : .]
4/26/2011 12:11:38 PM
^ yep, that was another good example. I'm familiar with what an alien of affection suit is, but that's still really obscure knowledge for someone who doesn't practice law.
4/26/2011 12:14:25 PM
He's really concerned about how they're phrasing the route he's going to show them.
4/26/2011 12:18:36 PM
^seriouslyred flagshahah Kurtz should be like "look this dude did it"Hey dude...want me to reprahzent you?[Edited on April 26, 2011 at 12:20 PM. Reason : e]
4/26/2011 12:20:09 PM
I can see this guy killing NC more than BC. Seems like an ill skeez.
4/26/2011 12:20:27 PM
IF you were going to kill Nancy. Is this where you would have dumped her body?
4/26/2011 12:24:50 PM
I'm waiting for an "ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, I DID IT!"But seriously, he looks/sounds really nervous for just being a witness.Edit:
4/26/2011 12:25:56 PM
this guy is lying about something, he looks just like i do when i'm lying all the way down to the mitigating language and taking sips of water.
4/26/2011 12:30:18 PM
shifty guy is shifty
4/26/2011 12:31:35 PM
well you guys know Kurtz is going to flat out ask the guy "Did you kill Nancy Cooper," right?
