I was one of the first 10 people who went to the bell tower. My buddy never knew they went there...I guess since it has been so long....and it was ROWDY! We need to set up a webcam permanently that will go from the LOFT to the belltower. (i.e. toomers corner, the grove, etc.)

The problem with UNC is yes they are getting McD's kids, but those kids arent producing all that much for their hype. That combined with the fact kids arent dumb and know its likely at some point the NCAA "should" drop the hammer on that program and they are having a hard time keeping up with recruiting. Not to mention they cant just promise the kids they wont have to goto class anymore. Roy isnt the greatest coach and typically that has been outweighed by the amount of talent they were getting even at Kansas. To want him gone though is pretty silly because no top coach is gonna wanna take on that toxic mess without knowing what the NCAA may and may not do in the future. They better hold onto Roy until the possible punishments come down and then they can figure out what the want to do.

Happens to me here at work all the time. One UNC fan the other day said they've never seen any other State fan like that hates UNC like I do (picking UNC to lose in the first round every year in our office pool) which I find hard to believe but anyway. Then they said that they always pull for State to win.

It's just one of those things they can safely say because we don't win much. Doubt they'd have that attitude if we regularly beat them, won ACC championships, Final Fours, etc.

in my experience it's been the opposite. I see it all the time unless it's a case where when they're together they openly hate/bash us but then when they're singled out in front of a State fan they act like we're their second favorite team, or it's "good for the ACC / Tobacco Road", etc.

This isn't what I'm basing the above statement on but I thought it was a funny story:

I was watching the LSU game with Bridget, kev4pack, and fhqwads and this older walmart UNC fan wearing camo pants was losing his shit during their game against Harvard as we sat at the next table openly cheering for Harvard. Then he goes on a rant about how he always pulls for State when they don't play UNC "BECAUSE IM FROM RALEIGH" (like we aren't too?) and we said we'd never pull for Carolina. And he said "even over DUKE?!?" to which we said we liked Duke because they hate UNC too. He seriously couldn't wrap his head around the fact that not everyone pulls for the flagship like we were denouncing our home state. He called us "fucking assholes" and pouted the rest of the night.

^^I had a similar experience. I was watching the end of the UNC/Harvard game waiting for our game to come on. I cheered when Harvard hit a 3 to either tie or take the lead. A guy sitting in the booth next to me said I should pull for UNC because it makes State look better. After giving him a blank stare for about 5 seconds I told him I'm not really concerned about RPI this time of year. He then proceeded to call me a hater and how I don't care about the success of the ACC
