^ !!!!! WTF HOW?!?!?!?!?!?!?In other news I finally fucking got 2.2 for my phone this morning. About damn time they pushed it out. I like the functionality, I dont like the look of the UI.Further edit: HOT DAMN Sprint put on mifi in the update. Sweet![Edited on December 18, 2010 at 2:45 PM. Reason : !]
12/18/2010 2:39:39 PM
ha, it'll probably cost you out your ass to use the mifi app though. As for the tdub notifications, zorthage got bored. It's not a full-on tdub app but it'll check to see if you have pm's and open them in your web browser if you touch the notification.]

looks like theyve got 2.3 working for the OG Droid but without the market, camera, or browser...i think ill wait till it's more stable but good to know it won't be long now. hopefully by the end of next week.

so no way to screenshots unless I root my driod x? anyone know how to sync my outlook calender with my driod x calendar?
12/19/2010 10:18:30 AM
If you're using Outlook 2007 or earlier or 32-bit 2010 then you can use Google Calendar Sync to sync Outlook to Google and then Google of course syncs to your phone: http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=89955
12/19/2010 10:22:37 AM
what ^ said. It should work fine for syncing your calendar. As for taking screen shots, the answer is no unless you can get it to work by using the Android SDK but you'd need to have it plugged in.

Has anyone else had issues installing updates for Pandora or Titanium Backup? I'm on a Droid X, rooted but stock ROM. Haven't changed anything recently but for some reason, I haven't been able to get the updates for either of these apps for the last couple of days. Other updates have installed fine. It's just these 2.
12/19/2010 8:59:03 PM
uninstall the appsgo to settings > applications > marketclear cache and clear datastart market again and install those apps. should be fine.they work great for me.
12/19/2010 9:22:10 PM
anybody else have problems with their DX not recognizing their SD card? mine is fine and dandy one minute, then when I refresh my phone, I get the unrecognized card icon. i restart the phone and it's fine again, then in an hour or so the card isn't recognized again.
12/19/2010 10:51:33 PM
^^Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't try it but while looking through the apps to delete them, I remembered that I moved a bunch of apps to the SD card last week. Moved them back to the phone and they installed.
12/19/2010 11:47:00 PM
so I've got Cyanogenmod 6.1.0 (froyo) running on my old HTC Tmobile G1. It's running pretty nicely and I like the extra features cyanogen added in (like customizing the main dock). I'm seeing a problem though, with some apps I download, they just disappear from my status bar and never get installed. has anyone seen this before? could it be because i'm downloading an app meant for froyo but my phone doesn't fit some kind of requirements?

Anyone with a DX have a hard case and/or hip holster they like? I had the oem ones but both broke . I'm not a fan of holsters with plastic connections as I always break them

^^^^^^^ I just tried the bugless beast 0.6, and while I liked it, I'm going to stick with CyanogenMod 6.1.1 and the Gingerbread theme for it. Theme #6http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/10906-theme-pack-cm61-theme-collection/ I just like the functionality of CyanogenMod. I just recently changed the screen dim level to 2 for everyday use (which is lower than the usual lowest setting) and the battery life is amazing. Question : this was the first theme I have installed for CyanogenMod. If i want to install a new theme, can I just install over the old theme?
12/21/2010 11:23:57 PM
I haven't seen this posted yet, but the latest update to the HTC Evo has the Swype keyboard on it now.
12/22/2010 10:15:24 AM
I just tried to get the OTA upgrade to 2.3 with my DX, and it "says" it's downloading it and will let me know when it's done... But I don't see any indication in my status bar of downloading, and I feel like there was one last time. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
12/22/2010 12:57:23 PM
Restart and now it's showing progress, but it seems stuck at 93% Thoughts?
12/22/2010 1:40:29 PM
^ DX is giving OTA 2.3 updates?
12/22/2010 1:49:23 PM
^No....software is 2.3, but the Android version is 2.2.1 still.
12/22/2010 2:11:04 PM
Any EVO folks using myn's warm two point two? I've had that ROM for a while now and love it.
12/22/2010 2:18:29 PM
^^Yeah, false alarm...
12/22/2010 2:46:34 PM
i just said fuck it to that 2.3.340 update. it's not worth having to go in and flash the ROM just to get a madden demo and some update to facebook. now if i have to do that to get gingerbread, then that's another story...
12/22/2010 4:02:31 PM
MOODY yeah i'm running it - i've been waiting for him to get back from his cruise to finally update the ROM with the new OTA and radios...now that i have 3 extended batts permanently able to swap in and out, i love using his rom...
12/22/2010 6:51:32 PM
so if the incredible hd or something similarly awesome debuts within 30 days of my buying the x (which i did on 12/12), i can exchange it no questions asked? would i need to de-root and all that stuff?[Edited on December 22, 2010 at 7:10 PM. Reason : .]
12/22/2010 7:10:12 PM
highly doubt you'll see the incredible HD within 30 days. It'll probably be revealed at CES in 2 weeks but wouldn't expect to see it that soon. But yes you can exchange within 30 days with a $35 restocking fee and you'd probably want to return it back to stock. ]
12/22/2010 7:11:56 PM
One of the more prominent modders claims he's close to having a functional CM6 (might be 6.1?) for the backflip. I'm excited.
12/22/2010 7:20:46 PM
gotta unroot for latest OTA? DX 2.2 -> 2.whatever
12/22/2010 9:35:00 PM
everyone gets so excited for the OTA updates
12/22/2010 10:33:58 PM
not really. it just got pushed and failed so I'm guessing it's a root issue.
12/23/2010 7:24:16 AM
mine installed fine but killed root. oddly left superuser in my app drawer so it was confusing at first. ended up just using z4 to reroot.you didn't delete any of the stock apps once you rooted did you? if so, that's the problem. OTA won't install without several of them.PS: anyone using the Firefox beta? I'm testing it (and going back to Dolphin quickly) and wonder if mine is normal in that there's no autocorrect whatsoever.[Edited on December 23, 2010 at 8:06 AM. I'm getting ready to throw my fucking Dx into a lake. Searching finds a bunch of people trying to change addresses but no solutions.First, I'm using a Droid X on 2.2.1 (latest update 2.3.340 or whatever). Yesterday I did a factory reset. When the phone came back up, I tried to set everything back up. I have 2 Google Accounts that I use with my DX (1 work & 1 personal). I entered my personal account first and then my work account. Once I finished, Android market refused to give me any of my apps back (including charging me for one that I had already purchased). I waited for 6 hours and then did another reset. This time I set up my work account first. Now all of my apps came back with no problems. The problem is that my personal account is my Checkout account. I've never used my work address for Checkout. Now it prompts me to enter a credit card to purchase new apps. I can't find a single way to change which account Market associates with (this is basic functionality Google!!!) and I'm stuck not being able to download new apps. Cliff notes:Correct primary address (personal) ends up with no apps but correct Checkout account (previously used). Incorrect primary address (work) ends up with all apps but wrong Checkout account (never used)
