--Didn't make castings of the footprints at the body site.
--Didn't make castings of the tire tracks at the body site when the size didn't match the Cooper vehicles.
--Didn't test the cigarette butt found within feet of the body for DNA until 2 years later.
--Walked around inside the home without booties.
--Left the computer running for 27 hours while connected to the internet, resulting in 690+ files modified after it's in police custody. The only incriminating evidence on that computer has 100% invalid timestamps.

I took a few minutes and skimmed over a few pages of the thread on websleuths' site about yesterday. Seems like most people over there don't believe the eye witnesses, think the incident with the Navy guy the night before Nancy went missing was just a ding-dong-ditch, and that they wouldn't expect police to follow up on every lead/tip because they probably got so many and since Brad and Nancy were going through a divorce then it most certainly was him.

If anyone in my family ever goes missing or is killed and I found out police didn't follow up on every last tip, then I am definitely going to jail because heads are gonna roll

My guess would be if they had so many leads that they couldn't check up on them all they would not of had to set up roadblocks asking random drivers about her disappearance for days afterwards.

I guess they didn't have time to check the blackberry either, since it was locked in the desk drawer while they were out searching the golf course on the tip of a psychic.

If you get butt napped, make them drive you into raleigh first. Suggest a nice park or some shit. As a victim, youd have better luck getting justice.

This.

I can't explain why, but I have been fascinated with this from the start.

Based on what the attorneys were arguing about on Thursday, today could be an interesting day! We might get to hear about how the blackberry actually got deleted!

A charlatan psychic is working with the Cary police. This is the problem with our society.

I think I know what needs to be done...... I need to start claiming I'm a psychic because there's obviously a lot of money in this and the cary police department is clearly run by fucking morons.

State is throwing a hissy fit because the defense found another expert to testify to what the court would not let the previous expert testify about.

in other words, prosecution is about to get pwned by the defense, prosecution objects to it, and judge blindly says "I"LL ALLOW IT".

I guess they're running scared because it will reveal the truth? Meaning the prosecutors are really concerned that they might not put Brad away regardless of whether he did it.

^^^nope, he is reading the report in question right now.

Not sure why the content of the report is relevant for the ruling he is going to make.

Nice quote from websleuths:

Quote :
"FWIW and IMHO, I believe this def is trying to do the same thing the OJ def did, confuse the jurors with too much info."

Oh the irony.

Not sure why they didn't bring in this new witness in before, but it would be bogus if they didn't allow it. I also don't know why an option wouldn't be to allow the witness but give the state X number of days to prepare.

Defense just summed up the trial. No physical evidence. The google map search is the only thing they've got and the defense is being blocked from defending in the most significant issue in the case.

They didn't bring the new witness before because they just got him on Wednesday. When JW wasn't allowed to testify. They gave the DA's notice that same day.

because the thinking was that his credentials would be sufficient for what he was testifying to, and they should have been but the judge does not understand what network security is and the defense didn't do a good job explaining it
