The only similarity btw that Rossi and yours is that they are both wheel guns

I'm not sure I understand your reply. This forum priced the astra at $350-$400 to a collectorhttp://www.thefirearmsforum.com/showthread.php?p=984596and the 38 special amadeo rossi at $100-150http://www.thefirearmsforum.com/showthread.php?t=112571Like I said, just inherited these and looking to get a fair price, that's all.
8/28/2012 4:57:16 PM
$100 for the Rossi .38 special.
8/29/2012 8:06:11 AM
Thanks. I'm still going to see what the shop in Raleigh will offer but if they aren't interested or lowball me I'll happily sell it to the highest bidder here.
8/29/2012 10:06:38 AM
He was saying that the gunbroker link you provided isn't comparable to the gun you're selling. Different model, caliber, frame - the only similarity they have is that they are revolvers. Rossi makes a somewhat decent gun, so $100 would be a good deal for the buyer and an easy sale for you, but you're probably need to put it in a shop to get anything north of $150. If you can get $120-140, that's probably going to be the sweet spot for both parties, selling it yourself. A shop will typically try to give you 40-60% of book value for a cheap gun, so figure on making less than $100 by selling it to the shop. Consignment will get you closer to book value, but the shop still takes a cut and you don't get anything until it sells. As for the Astra, they're sort of "low grade" collectors items. You might get that $350-400 from just the right eccentric collector, but getting that amount without an extensive social network of collectors or dealers is unlikely at best. The reality is that relatively few legitimate collectors care about gaudy showpiece guns, and the chances of you finding such a buyer by yourself are slim. Hate to be pessimistic, but it's just not a piece that very many people would actually consider "collectible". Certainly the vast majority of enthusiasts consider them outright junk. I'd throw that Astra on Gunbroker, or if you simply want to wash your hands of it and try to make a few easy bucks, consign it at a shop for $250 and drop $10 a week until it goes. I think PDHSC charges like 10% to consign a handgun. All that said, I wouldn't mind another wheelgun to keep in the truck, and this is a B/S/T thread, so I'll offer $120 for the Rossi.[Edited on August 29, 2012 at 11:11 AM. ^^^ I have a S&W M&P 22. I've had a lot of fun with it. It's the only 12+1 that I know of. Everything else seems to be 10+1. It's not picky about ammo at all which is great. IIRC, all the controls are ambidextrous/reversible for you lefties.
8/30/2012 2:27:54 PM
^^^^I own two M&P 9s but the SR-22 is a better gun in my opinion. http://www.ruger.com/products/sr22Pistol/index.html
8/30/2012 4:23:57 PM
^ did you mean you own two M&P22s?
8/30/2012 7:29:15 PM
any of you want to sell the m&p22?
8/30/2012 9:59:34 PM
^^ No, I have a 9c and a Shield. I wanted the M&P22 to complement them but was unimpressed. Felt like a toy gun in hand, sights on SR-22 are better, just liked it more than the M&P22 to my surprise, plus it was cheaper. YMMV

Selling a Mossberg 500 12 gauge: $300 OBOComes with 18'' w/ fiber optic front sight and 28'' w/ vent rib barrels. Also has a Hogue Overmold 12'' Length of Pull stock set, and brand new factory stock set.The receiver has a see through scope rail attached. The Hogue set was $75, and the stock set was only on a shotgun for about 15 minutes.I purchased this used about 2 years ago, and have put about 200 shells (mostly bird, only the 18'') through it. Located in Charlotte, but will drive 2 hours for a FTF deal.

^^Pretty much, yeah. You'll probably want to find a FFL to ship it for you since it's a PITA to ship handguns yourself, but other than that, it's basically the same. Carriers require handguns to go overnight and a bunch of random BS, so call up shops around you and ask what they charge to ship a handgun, then pick the cheapest and figure that into your handling fee, probably in the $10-15 range plus whatever the actual postage fee is. Last one I sold, I think cost about $40 all together. Also, people generally pay with money orders since Paypal doesn't allow gun stuff, so also be aware of that.[Edited on September 3, 2012 at 8:49 PM. Reason : ^^]
9/3/2012 8:49:15 PM
First price drop on the shotgun: now only $275, or $225 and I keep the Hogue stock.

I have a Mossberg 930 that I built for a spare three gun shot gun, but never ended up shooting (Praticed with it a couple times so maybe 200-300 roudns). It's a 22" barrel non ported, 8+1, Wood Grain, I threaded for win choke and extened the forcing cone 4". Looking for $700 cash. I'll post pic's if anyone is interested.
9/6/2012 11:15:36 AM
basically something to play with and eventually shoot in 3 gun... the benelli m2 is what i'd like to end up with but anything that feeds bird shot well would be fine... i don't mind cleaning it.
9/6/2012 2:45:44 PM
benelli m2 is exceptionally easy to clean imo.
9/6/2012 2:47:26 PM
yeah i know... i'm saying the gas-operated ones seem to fail more frequently if not kept clean... which is why the m2 is ideal for longer shooting escapades without cleaning.
9/6/2012 3:41:21 PM
its nice because after firing the bolt stays locked just long enough to blow all the crud down the barrel.the action is basically almost always spotless.
9/6/2012 8:00:19 PM
Bushmaster 6.8 Upper is still available if anyone's interested.

For sale is my Romanian AK-74, shoots the cheap and plentiful 5.45x39mm round and I will throw in 4x 30 rd magazines and 900 rounds of ammo in a steel ammo can. Two magazines are black polymer and two are Bakelite. I live in Raleigh but the gun is stored in Durham. The treated gun sock that the gun is stored in will also be included. The metal of the receiver has some surface scratches but the wood furniture looks glossy and perfect. Each paper cube in the picture contains 30 rounds of ammo, the stray bullets you see are one paper cube opened up. Shoots like a charm, $750 OBO!

I have two guns I want to sell. I don't have pictures just yet but can get them for you if you're interested.1. Sig P250 compact 9mm. Bought it for my mom but she likes her Ruger SR9c better so I need to sell this one. It's virtually brand new in the box. She shot 30 rounds through it and decided she didn't want it. 1 15 rnd mag. http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/p250-compact.aspx2. Springfield 1911 Loaded PX9104LP Lightweight, Bi-tone w/ night sights. Had to send back to Springfield to get the safety repaired. Much like the Sig, it has hardly been shot. Maybe 4 or 5 mags total put through it. Has 2 factory mags, holster, and the box. The safety still sticks some but it's in nearly new shape.http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?version=21

prices?
9/16/2012 8:23:19 PM
What is a good AR15 for less than $1000 that is reliable?
9/17/2012 10:31:15 PM
Colt 6920 is around $1000, hard to beat at that price point. Lower than that I would go PSA. Depending on the accessories and options you want, you could build a BCA for close to that.
9/17/2012 10:42:38 PM
Sold the Sig P250. I still have the Springfield 1911. Wanted to add some photos. Trying to offload it for around $800 although I will listen to offers. As I said, it is practically new. I've only shot 35 rounds through at the most. Throwing in the 45 rounds in the pics since I won't need them. Feel free to hit me up with any questions. Thanks.

^^ I saw a flyer for Walmart the offered a two Ar15's, one by DPMS for about $860 w/ glass and a Colt for > 1100, also with an optic. They are simple rifles with plenty of support and mods' on the market.
