The gun I want isn't going to last long so I'm putting a combo type deal on this. I have a Charter Arms AR-7 that I will add to the deal with the FNP. Like new FNP9s are selling for anywhere from $400-$500 at some local dealers and the AR-7s are going for 200+ so I think $575 or best offer is reasonable. But as always I'll trade for a Sig or make me an offer!

8/22/2012 12:36:06 PM
how much do you need... i may have some after sat... probably ~60 ?
8/22/2012 3:59:05 PM
60 would be good. what headstamp(s)?and would you be willing to put them in a small flat rate box if i paypal you some funds?[Edited on August 22, 2012 at 6:02 PM. Reason : still need some dies. haven't found any local.]
8/22/2012 6:01:01 PM
Is anyone else here very opposed to buying a rifle that isn't NIB?I'm totally down with used pistols and shotguns, but with rifles, where I want great accuracy and slight defects can negatively impact it, and I've seen how few people really know hot to clean and care for a rifle, I'm just not sure I could every roll the dice on it.*i guess I would on a .22 plinker/short-range rifle (say, a lever-action .444 Marlin with iron sights, etc)
8/22/2012 11:43:36 PM
i have no problem buying a used rifle. if it won't shoot, just sell it. you've gotta really suck to lose money on a gun.
8/23/2012 6:35:24 AM
yeah i don't mind... i'll check the head stamp when i get home... they're remington rounds http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/product_info.php/pName/20rds-3030-remington-170gr-corelokt-soft-point-ammo
8/23/2012 7:58:06 AM
if they're all corelokt, the headstamp will be R-P. i can use them. shoot em up and let me know what i owe you.

anyone ever had trouble with the transfer of a firearm from anyone on tww? had a guy lined up to buy my ruger but when i asked about his purchase permit this is what i got as a response? . . . "I believe all I have is a copy of the permit. It is also my old address. I bought several permits back in 2008 when I was still in college and my permanent address was my parents house. I scanned them all in for keeping, and have never had a problem when purchasing."i'm not trying to bash or put this individuals personal business out there but when i asked for a copy of the permit so that i could verify with that county's sheriffs dept, the individual did not reply. i could care less what you do with a firearm but when my name is on the registered serial number i believe i have every right to get as much info as possible from someone that i may be transferring said ownership to. hypochondriac? absolutely but i'm not going to apologize but i'd love some feedback[Edited on August 23, 2012 at 4:48 PM. Reason : sp]
8/23/2012 4:48:32 PM
you don't have to verify anything with the sheriff's dept.they are required to give you the original copy of the purchase permit. you are supposed to verify that the name (and address, too, i guess) on the permit matches their driver's license. most folks keep the permit for their records, but that isn't really required either iirc.

Would I need a PPP if I were taking in a handgun in lieu of cash? For example I have my Kahr for sale on here (and other places) and have had some people offer a cheaper gun + cash to buy my Kahr. Would I, as the seller, need a PPP as well in that situation?[Edited on August 23, 2012 at 9:42 PM. Reason : d]
8/23/2012 9:41:44 PM
yes
8/23/2012 9:51:16 PM
I thought you were required by law to keep a buyer's PPP indefinitely in case a firearm ever needed to be traced from the last owner on record to the current
8/24/2012 12:39:55 AM
I might've been wrong. Im getting conflicting answers.[Edited on August 24, 2012 at 4:02 PM. Reason : hjk]

8/24/2012 8:50:42 PM
^says who? Where do they define dealer?
8/24/2012 9:12:34 PM
Here: 14-409.39. Definitions. The following definitions apply in this Article:(1) Dealer. Any person licensed as a dealer pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 921, et seq., or G.S. 105-80.(2) Firearm. Dealer is a FFL holder.

Do I need a title to sell a gun?Do I have to have any sort of permit?
8/25/2012 2:51:33 PM
What kind of gun? What state are you in?In NC, you as the seller don't need a permit to SELL a handgun (pistol). The buyer needs a permit to purchase one though. Rifles (most) and shotguns do not require a purchase permit. [Edited on August 25, 2012 at 3:00 PM. Reason : .]
8/25/2012 2:57:41 PM
NC
8/25/2012 3:05:16 PM
you don't need anything to sell them. the buyer will need a Handgun Purchase Permit or a Concealed Handgun Permit. you cannot sell to someone from another state without going through a Federal Firearms Licensee.btw, i think you inherited them, right? you legally should've had a HPP or CHP to obtain them, even though you didn't buy them and you simply got them as part of an estate.[Edited on August 25, 2012 at 9:51 PM. Reason : welcome to the world of fucked up gun laws]
8/25/2012 9:50:57 PM
Yes I inherited them.
8/25/2012 11:10:18 PM
if you can manage to get $100 a piece for those you'd be doing good
8/26/2012 8:01:11 AM
I've had several people tell me the contrary, but we shall see.
8/26/2012 12:35:15 PM
8/26/2012 7:05:54 PM
^ It's more an issue of what they do once you sell it to them. They may have had a permit but the person they sell to might not. If you don't have a record of the sale then it's your neck.
8/26/2012 8:40:39 PM
no, it's not. you are in no way responsible for what the buyer or any subsequent buyers does with a firearm. ensure that they have the proper credentials to purchase and be done with it.i still haven't found any law that says the seller must retain documentation after a private party sale.[Edited on August 26, 2012 at 8:45 PM. Reason : if anyone can find the law, please post it.]this sort of attitude is the same reason there are folks requiring you to show a HPP or a CHP for a long gun sale. it's fucking ridiculous.[Edited on August 26, 2012 at 8:46 PM. Reason : adsf]
8/26/2012 8:44:36 PM
8/26/2012 8:51:36 PM
^^ Then how to you prove that you're not the one who sold it to the Nth buyer down the line who can't legally possess a weapon or whatever scenario leads to a police detective knocking at your door? I'm not saying that you should require people to show CCH permits or PP permits for long gun sales, but I don't see how not retaining records of sale does anything but open you up to liability.
8/26/2012 10:42:15 PM
if you wanna cover your ass, by all means, do sobut the discussion is whether or not the seller is required by law to retain such recordsif you're gonna CYA on handguns, then why not on long guns? why not on knives? baseball bat?it's a slippery fucking slope[Edited on August 26, 2012 at 10:47 PM. Here's pics of the other one for the people who pmed me.I'm probably going to take them to a BBB accredited gun shop this week since I have no clue what they're worth.I'm not interested in keeping them, so any reasonable offer will be accepted.

I have two glock holsters that I am trying to get rid of. $35 eachThe first is the Comp-Tac 2 o'clock (left hand) for sub-compact glocks:The second is Comp-Tac's replacement for the 2 o'clock (right hand). It has two clips, so you can adjust the depth that it sits. This fits the compact frame glocks:

Sorry that I don't have a price in mind to everyone who has inquired about the guns.I'll go get them appraised this weekend.Feel free to post a price in the thread if you want to get the ball rolling.Like I said, I'm not interested in keeping either.
