Ha ha, I like how the poster said "my mail lady," and someone swooped in to claim that the proper title is, "I'M A MAIL CARRIER!!!!1"

^Haha. Yeah once I thought about it, I figured for suburbs and stuff it probably was a thing. I grew up in the middle of nowhere so we didn't have that service and I just never really thought about it. We didn't have recycling service or anything like that come by either.
12/5/2014 9:14:05 AM
they also have toilets indoors over here.
12/5/2014 9:53:41 AM
^man, i gotta get out more. next thing you're gonna tell me is y'all got color televisions.
12/5/2014 9:56:34 AM
We put garbage, recycling, and yard "shit" out all on Monday. They pick up garbage and recycling on Monday (recycling every other Monday) and if they see you have leaves and compost bags out, they'll make a note of it and pick it up on Tuesday.Back to stupid IC shit. I like they thread about us playing their schedule and not making it to a bowl. They do know we played all of the ranked ACC teams, correct? They missed FSU, Clemson, and Louisville. We might have lost to ECU, but we'd probably also have an extra ACC win or two.
12/5/2014 10:33:39 AM
Don't most cities have a restriction stating that debris is supposed to be behind the curb and not in the road? I know that nobody follows that but the guy is complaining about the mail lady driving through leaves that aren't supposed to be on the road anyway. An extension of thinking that UNC never does anything wrong?
12/5/2014 10:35:15 AM
^^Yeah it's not like they played a juggernaut of a schedule.UNC would probably go, like us, 4-0 against our OOC schedule. Althought Ga. Southern's offense could have had a field day on UNC's D. I'd say we go, like UNC, 2-2 against their OOC schedule. Losing to ECU and ND. I actually see our record being almost identical to UNC's if we played their schedule. They beat GT and lost to VT. Obviously we lost to GT, but I think we could beat VT. Games like Pitt at home and @Duke could be toss ups for us, and maybe we'd go 1-1 in those games. And then...ya know we beat UNC so I guess keep that result the same. Making our record 7-5. Or even we just went 1-2 vs Pitt, VT, @Duke instead of 2-1, we'd still be 6-6. Just like them. UNC would have definitely lost to FSU, @Clemson, BC, and @Louisville. They did beat GT. And they'd beat Cuse and Wake. And still lose to us. So...7-5 for them with our schedule. Seriously, who do they think they'd beat that we didn't beat? GT is the only one, since they actually did beat GT.It's a dumb argument because they clearly play in the weaker division. And they did have a tougher OOC schedule...but each team makes their own OOC schedule. So that's kinda their own fault.[Edited on December 5, 2014 at 10:51 AM. What are the rules on cinder block booby traps?
12/5/2014 11:22:57 AM
^^^ i was there for the first half of the duke/uncch* game. if duke played half as bad as they did that night against us we would have thrashed them too.
12/5/2014 12:43:20 PM
A bowl game in Detroit couldn't have happened to a more deserving fanbase...
12/8/2014 2:46:56 AM
Salty, much? Oh not too much, a much too much.
12/8/2014 7:28:20 AM
Their tears... So very tasty...
12/8/2014 8:28:16 AM
I mean neither of us were good in football this year and we were both rewarded by being sent to shit bowls. The difference is none of our fans expected anything more and just like every year they expected to be division champs and just like every year they failed. Enjoy Detroit fuckers.
12/8/2014 8:36:40 AM
Also, I don't even think he's right about which bowl picks first. I was under the impression that each bowl in its tier kinda work together to get who they want. But I could be way off on that. But you can't go 6-6, lose to us, and then complain about what bowl you got. Just like we, at 3-5 in the ACC, can't complain too much either
12/8/2014 9:01:21 AM
Who cares if they got picked first. Detroit vs florida is a no brainer. We win the bowl selection too
12/8/2014 9:15:44 AM
I wonder what our OOC sos would look like if every team that beat us jumped 40 spots in the polls?
12/8/2014 10:13:17 AM
Every SOS ranking I have seen has them around 20 and us around 24... unless that idiot is referring to just the non-conference slate. Why in the shit would we stack the deck against ourselves, knowing that we have FSU, Clemson, GT, etc on our schedule? I would much rather be heading to a bowl right now than 'be proud of our tough scheduling'
12/8/2014 10:26:39 AM
wtf is he talking about with out ooc hoops schedule? got is a borderline genius in predicting what schools are going to be good resume wins at the end of the year
12/8/2014 10:31:22 AM
12/8/2014 11:11:50 AM
HAHAHA, I love that post from IC, sound like a bunch of butt hurt sore losers. This is coming from the shitty program who let ECU average 62.5 points on and totaled exactly 125 points on them their last two meetings. I wish they would play ECU again so that this time they can score 100 points on them.
12/8/2014 11:12:17 AM
Uh, our OOC schedule has @Purdue, West Virginia in NY, Cincy, LaTech, Richmond and Tennessee. That's not a cupcake schedule. We probably should have more than one road game but that's the only issue with it. We don't game the RPI like the MWC or MVC. Gaming the RPI would be scheduling only teams like Boise, Charleston Southern and Hofstra as our entire OOC schedule. We don't do that. We just don't schedule like retards (Greenberg/Sendek/Brey). UNC doesn't either - they do typically replace a couple of those middling P5 schools with actual powers, but that's because those are peer match ups for them whereas Cincy/WV/Tenn are peer match ups for us.
12/8/2014 11:23:42 AM
yeah our OOC bball schedule is fine.
12/8/2014 11:25:30 AM
anyone who knows the first fucking thing about acc basketball knows that two of the last three years our OOC schedule is what put us over the top to get in the tournament.
12/8/2014 11:54:03 AM
I think that's very true, but there is a conception about this year's schedule that it's not quite as difficult as previous years'. I think it's still exactly what it needs to be, but the IC poster above is not the only person to say Gott eased up on the difficulty a bit.
12/8/2014 11:58:02 AM
It makes sense to ease up in the OOC schedule given the murderer's row of an ACC schedule we'll be subjected too. The years we scheduled tough opponents were down years in the ACC.[Edited on December 8, 2014 at 12:03 PM. Reason : :]
12/8/2014 12:03:36 PM
Our OOC FB schedule was awful this year, but it was necessary when you're trying to rebuild a program and you're not going be a very good team anyway. Why pull a Virginia and schedule teams like UCLA & BYU when you're sitting at home all December? There's no upside to it unless you're trying to move up the rankings. I'd obviously like our schedule to get better as our team improves, but it was a necessary move to have this weak OOC schedule this year. Our shitty schedule this year (especially in light of having to play FSU, Clemson & Louisville in conference) helped us to get a bowl in Doeren's 2nd year. It was a smart move.[Edited on December 8, 2014 at 12:51 PM. Reason : t]

^ exactly. This is year 2 in a new system. We played something like the 2nd most true freshmen of any FBS program in the country (or something close, I'm going off the top of my head here), and our veterans who played in TOB's pro-style offense might as well have been freshmen last year with the drastically different offense we run.An easy OOC schedule meant we were 2 conference wins away from bowl eligibility, which meant 20 extra practices to get guys more reps. While the bitcoin bowl isn't what anyone wanted, having a bowl in florida is always good for recruiting, or so the experts claim.
12/8/2014 12:47:28 PM
This bowl is perfectly fine considering where we were at last year. It only became disappointing because we got our hopes up on the Belk bowl and a name SEC opponent. As long as we don't lay an egg and get wrecked by UCF, this season will have been a success.
12/8/2014 12:56:21 PM
I remember back when we used to get disappointed over the belk bowl.granted it seems like somehow it gained prestige b/c it definitely used to be a bottom feeder bowl.
12/8/2014 10:07:01 PM
Ever since they made it an ACC/SEC bowl it gained traction
12/8/2014 10:10:40 PM
^^It definitely sounds better than Meineke Car Care Bowl or Continental Tire Bowl, thats for sure. It also used to be played during the day (started at 11am in 2005), but has been at night the past few years, giving it a better big game atmosphere. Obviously having an ACC/SEC matchup helps a lot as well...basically taking the Peach Bowls place in that regard.Although Im not sure when we would have been disappointed to be in it; in 2005, we were 2-4 at one point in the season, so going to any bowl was exciting. In 2011 maybe, but no one was picked ahead of us that didnt deserve to be there.

woot.com is selling college football stadium "murals". http://www.woot.com/plus/college-football-stadium-ultramurals-2?ref=cnt_wp_22And of course they have one for the vaunted UNC football program and its incredible stadium...http://www.woot.com/offers/north-carolina-8?ref=cnt_wp_22_18Aaaand, it's a nighttime shot of a completely empty stadium, with no markings on the field at all?Oh, and the official attendance at that photo was 15000

It's a great feeling to see our program gaining momentum while watching the turds in free fall mode.I can't find the comments at the moment, but Switzer eluded to there being a huge divide in the locker room between older and younger players after the game yesterday. They're decaying from the inside out.

^Here's some quotes:

They paid all that money to Weinstein only to now discredit him too?
12/27/2014 2:27:40 PM
12/27/2014 3:05:09 PM
I hope switzer keeps talking shit about his players. Dude is the 4th best receiver on the team but consistently gets the majority of targets with nothing to show for it. Maybe they think if they throw to black players those Blue Zone ticket holders won't renew.
12/27/2014 3:32:29 PM
Switzer is a pussy too. He'll do anything to avoid contact. Yesterday he had a first down at one point and actually ran backwards so he could get out of bounds losing the first down yardage while doing so. That should be unacceptable on any team.
12/27/2014 4:42:24 PM
I noticed that too. He loses so much by actually jumping backwards out of bounds rather than just going straight out. I wonder if they point that out on film. Or if they watch film. Or if they know how to use a dvd player.

I will say that there was a thread on their premium board about Bo Hines transferring a week or two ago and the Packpride moderators just kinda shrugged it off and called it a joke. Whoever it was that posted that has some connections somewhere.
