I scrounged up an old used automotive AC refrigerant recovery/charging machine yesterday on facebook marketplace. Picked up my nephew so he can spend a few days with us.

This morning I cut my grass weeds and setup that machine and learned how to use it. Recovered the refrigerant from my truck and started tearing the AC system apart. Made BLTs. Packed up a little gear to go camping at the zoo with the kid tonight.

Not sure about tomorrow after we leave the zoo. Probably take him to one of those ninja kid places. He loves it.

Did a little setting up/ reconfiguring of my home office.
Shelving in my closet feel down, so I went to Home Depot, got new shelving, and installed it.

Not going for a run this morning. Morning is like the only time I can run without it being hot as balls, but the air quality is so terrible right now. All the smoke from the Canadian wildfires is just hanging in the air.

It's down here as well. I have a cold anyway from the kid activities last weekend. I may try to ride the indoor bike, but I feel like dog shit and haven't slept good all week.

I need to finish up some work on my truck. Probably watch the North Wilkesboro races.

Honestly, as long as my head doesn't feel like it's in a bucket on Monday morning, I'll consider this weekend a win.

last Friday I took the day off and went up to Virginia where our friends were putting on a summer party observing the 3rd weekend of July

there was a bounce house, a pool, a giant slip and slide, live music, DJs, an arcade, a temporary lounge full of inflatable and stuffed alligators, a blow-up planetarium, an outdoor kitchen where folks cooked group meals, and a trading post where people can wheel and deal (mostly barter, always cashless) for stuff like vintage pachinko machines and table saws, ummm and surely some more stuff

got home yesterday afternoon and I'm still very tired but quite happy

Saturday - Gonna get a burrito at a food hall here in Raleigh. Then I'm getting a Tdap vaccine because I'm overdue for a booster. Probably gonna nap after that. This plan is instead of my previous plan of replacing the carburetor on my mulcher.


Sunday - Having a few friends over for a seafood boil and to watch a horror movie. Might go to the new fantasy mini golf place in the old Kmart on Western Blvd before that.
