ongoing investigation be damned, we demand release of all cctv footage immediately!
10/10/2017 11:54:48 AM
Yes it's completely unrealistic to ask for cctv footage when the crime scene photos were somehow produced.
10/10/2017 12:00:12 PM
So since some evidence was leaked, we should demand all evidence be leaked
10/10/2017 12:03:03 PM
^^fair enough. If it's ongoing and they aren't sure who or why this happened I get it. Still surprised we haven't heard anything about what is on the tapes.
10/10/2017 12:05:10 PM
ask for it? okay. expect it and think it's weird that it hasn't been released? no.
10/10/2017 12:05:13 PM
^When would be an appropriate time to release those details in your opinion?
10/10/2017 12:10:30 PM
i'm not a detective or prosecutor but other than appeasing conspiracy theorists i don't see the public benefit to releasing it early so i would say after they determine no one else was involved and close the investigation
10/10/2017 12:12:50 PM
so it's unrealistic to get pictures of his dead bloody ass with everything on the scene within 24 hours, but we can't get a few still images with timestamps? To me that's kind of ridiculous, especially after over a week.
10/10/2017 12:14:10 PM
^Maybe after they complete their investigation and determine whether releasing information would compromise any further investigations or charges, like did he have an accomplice (not in the actual shooting, but in obtaining the weapons, helping getting the gear to the hotel room, etc) or some other outside contact or agents that helped him conceive and execute the plan. If he did have some indirect help, tipping their hand now to appease your morbid curiosity is fucking stupid.
10/10/2017 12:16:07 PM

10/10/2017 12:17:42 PM
I wouldn't necessarily expect them to have released them the tapes by now. What I'm saying is weird is that we've heard next to nothing about them. I haven't read all the articles from every publication, but I've yet to read anything that confirms that they have tapes and are reviewing them. I guess what I'm getting at is I'd expect some kind of acknowledgement like yes (or no) he filmed the entire thing. We also have footage of him checking in, and all the footage from his stay, etc. We are reviewing all footage as part of the investigation. Just haven't heard anything about it which feels like "nothing to see here".
10/10/2017 12:37:04 PM
they've said they are reviewing security footage
10/10/2017 12:42:37 PM
If there was a massive cover-up, wouldn't it be more likely for all the tapes, evidence, etc to be released on day 1? To make sure everyone had their story straight?Like you think the government, Mossad, or whoever planned this and was like 'oh shit we forgot about the security cameras!' the next day?
10/10/2017 12:44:44 PM
I'm definitely not implying there's a massive cover up. I'm mainly saying I think there is more to this than this 64 yr old man was just crazy and wanted to take out a bunch of people. He'd be the first wealthy man with no criminal history in the twilight of his life to do something like this that I am aware of. Maybe they do know more, but can't release it for fear of jeopardizing the investigation. I think it's good for people to question the info they get from law enforcement and the media.
10/10/2017 12:55:16 PM
10/10/2017 1:02:06 PM
i don't trust the police at all, i just haven't really seen anyone suggest a motive for them to lie or cover-up anything. criticism for taking so long to breach the door?
10/10/2017 1:04:19 PM
Clearly the police wanted more people to be shot, which is why they took so long. Maybe if the crowd was kneeling in protest, they would have acted quicker.
10/10/2017 1:06:54 PM
My main questions are about the shooter, and how the crime doesn't fit.
10/10/2017 1:09:13 PM
This is a stretch, but what if the guy really was somehow working with ISIS?The idea of a somewhat normal rich guy just up and turning all Jihad would certainly un-nerve a lot of people, so maybe they are trying to keep that under wraps for now?I mean I know that's stupid, but I can't think of any other reason why they would tell the public incorrect information on purpose. Because there's no way the authorities didn't already have the timelines in place by the time they started talking to the public. My biggest question is - they said the gunman fired 200 rounds into the hallway. 1) How does one fire 200 rounds in a hallway in a hotel and not injure or kill more than one security guard. 2) How come the "switchboard" for lack of better words, not get lit the hell up at the Vegas police department while that is going on? I mean shit, that gunfire should have at least been heard down to the 30th floor and up to the 34th. Is Mandalay Bay so vacant these days that just nobody was there?
10/10/2017 1:18:04 PM
I'm pretty sure the federal government was hoping it was a "terrorist" (muslim) and would want that information to get out. Right?
10/10/2017 1:20:00 PM
Maybe the WH. But the FBI? Probably not. Keeping the public calm should be top priority. Protecting Muslim Americans should be top priority. We wouldn't want revenge for the largest mass shooting in the country to date to be taken out on innocent Muslims, like with what happened with 9/11.
10/10/2017 1:25:21 PM
So I haven't been keeping up with all the discrepancies, allegedly intentional false and misleading official reports, and conspiracy theories, but have all these questions been answered:Mandalay Bay Casino: New Images and Questions *GRAPHIC*https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO_wq9dv8GcWhat the hell is going on???
10/10/2017 1:39:41 PM
True. But if the WH had any idea that it could have possibly been a muslim, someone would probably would have tweeted it already.
10/10/2017 1:40:19 PM
I've heard the secret ISIS theory before. A lot of it tied to his Philipino girlfriend and all of his international travels. And I've heard a theory that he was working for a govt agency and infiltrated a terrorist organization and his cover was blown. I dunno, they seem pretty far fetched, but so does a rich 64 yr old dude with no history killing 50 ppl at a jason aldean concert.
10/10/2017 2:11:32 PM
well I'm fairly certain that if he was playing video poker for 14 hrs a day, that can be verified and would debunk a lot of theories such as^.
10/10/2017 2:14:36 PM
But there's evidence that this guy has been scouting the perfect venue for some time. It's not like he had a grudge against "Amarillo Sky." This seems like the definition of lone wolf - kinda lonely guy, working mostly on his own, with not much history to trace, acting out a terror event.I'm sure he'll eventually earn his place in our "White terrorist" thread not related to ISIS at all, but I don't think it is a theory to throw out just yet.^ISIS has done a lot of recruiting via their online outlets. If this guy really did spend as much time online as he said he did, then that opens the door to being bored and surfing a LOT of internet while playing poker. Who knows what he came across.[Edited on October 10, 2017 at 2:16 PM. Reason : sdfs]
10/10/2017 2:15:54 PM
Going from accountant, pilot, real estate investor, lonely guy, serial gambler to mass murderer just isn't a natural progression.
10/10/2017 2:42:12 PM
^meh. Normal progression for what exactly?
10/10/2017 2:54:52 PM
10/10/2017 2:59:17 PM
^^natural progression for a psychopath mass murderer. It's typically a younger person with strong ideological or political beliefs who's never been able to find a stable path in society, much less success. Throw in some schizophrenia.. I don't think it's a very controversial point that I'm making. I think you'd have a tough time finding a similar profile for any deranged violent criminal. He seems to fit the con-man/shifty mold more than any other criminal profile.[Edited on October 10, 2017 at 3:03 PM. Reason : a]

Witnesses, suspects etc are interviewed immediately after a crime takes place and inconsistencies/changes in their story are how you figure out who is credible and who is lying. If the police cant get simple facts correct like the timestamp on a video, then by their own standards, they don't have much credibility.[Edited on October 10, 2017 at 7:11 PM. Reason : it sucks that videos cant be investigated if the public has already seen them]

^^^Where in that article say it was being guarded by law enforcement? It says neighbor saw a light, contacted local PD, PD determined it to be a break in, PD calls FBI (since it's connected to FBI investigation)....This is why information is so commonly wrong between two sources. You're wrong.
