This is how I go into the ACC-T each year:I want State to win the ACC-T. I'd be okay with Wake winning. It'd suck, but I can live with Duke winning. UNC winning is the absolute worst case scenario. Go Irish.

I'm really glad that Duke lost so we didn't have to hear how this was the greatest sporting event in the history of the ACC tournament.

Woke up two hours ago from a long night out in Charlotte. I hope UNC is tired in 2nd half and that ND hits at least 10 three pointers, because that's how I see ND winning. It would make me fucking sick to my stomach to see UNC win but they're probably the best interior scoring team in the nation. They have four bigs that are legitimate scoring threats and ND gives up serious size on the inside plus they don't have much depth there to boot. Anyhow, luck of the Irish!

^^^^ made me lol, if only Jim Lahey's drink of choice was Jameson's it'd be perfectSo I say again, today, we are all Irish

There are plenty of reasons why UNC should not win this game besides the fact they are playing their 4th game in 4 days. UNC can't defend the perimeter (as we saw in Chapel Hill) and ND is one of the top perimeter shooting teams in the nation. On the flip side, they only have two players that are consistent outside, really in terms of the season it is only Paige. Jackson just realized he can shoot the ball in the last ~5 games. The law of averages are against him having another season high tonight and without Jackson scoring big I doubt Paige will be able to carry the load. Against UVA, Jackson was 8-10 from the floor 4-5 from three point land and 2-2 on the foul line. There is no way in hell he is going to have a repeat tonight like that.http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/gamelog/_/id/3138156/justin-jacksonAlso if there are any sports Gods or sports mojo or what the hell ever, UNC's team should spontaneously combust or at the very least, not win. I'm still waiting for the day we make 2007 ACC Champions shirts after the NCAA vacates those wins and the ACC gives the Championships to the person who lost to them in the ACC Championship. BTW, the Skip Prosser Award was given for majoring in Journalism and mass communication (public relations concentration), Marcus Paige. I still think the ACC was trolling us all with that award. Surely there is someone else from one of the other 11 college in the ACC that deserved the award who isn't attending a college being investigated for two decades of academic fraud focusing on public relations. Not knocking Public Relations (it's better than Communications), just saying I bet we have a few engineers spread about, although I know those aren't big names in basketball normally. There just has to be someone else who is doing well in D1 NCAA Basketball and is also smart haha.Edit: BTW, I am not calling Paige smart, I'm just saying surely that person exist and in a dmore difficult major.[Edited on March 14, 2015 at 6:55 PM. last timeout there? really you dont want to see if you get a little closer and set up a last second play?
3/14/2015 10:36:30 PM
Acc champion has always only been the tourney winner you damn cock
3/14/2015 10:38:30 PM
Not wild about fucking Notre Dame winning the ACC but hey, it means UNC won't.
3/14/2015 10:39:37 PM
that was a dick move by the ref...rolling the ball to the ND guy out of bounds so the d could have a little more time to set up
3/14/2015 10:41:09 PM
Grant did an excellent job not fouling in the 2nd half
3/14/2015 10:41:30 PM
yeah i dont know how to feel about this - obviously dont want unc to win the acc, but it is weird to say ND is the acc champion
3/14/2015 10:41:32 PM
I'll take it. Fuck UNC.
3/14/2015 10:42:42 PM
Welp, never thought I'd say the words "I'm glad Norte Dame won the ACC."
3/14/2015 10:43:22 PM
it's weird to me that you guys are just now coming to terms with this considering we've known for the last 24 hours that Notre Dame and Carolina were the only possible champions and because go to hell Carolina
3/14/2015 10:44:53 PM
Kind of weird how many non-traditional winners there's been in the past few years. Miami, FSU, Virginia, ND.
